Disadvantages: Golf putting can be frustrating!

One of the first games for the Wii, this compendium comprises 5 different sports, and for each sport there are other mini-games designed to test your skills.

Boxing - Wow, this really will get you fit in no time! Punch and jab your way past your opponents against the computer or another player, it's a great workout and is also fun!

Baseball - Bowl (Pitch) or bat against the computer or a human opponent, swinging the Wiimote controller as if it were the ball or bat!

Golf - Using the controller as a club or putter, speed of shot and direction are crucial as you line up your attempt. Good scenery and calming music make this an enjoyable experience

Tennis - Smash, Volley, Serve and slice your way to the professional ranks - this is pretty realistic and will give hours of fun!

Bowling - Probably the best game in the compilation, mastering your technique is a good challenge - swing it in or just throw it as fast as you can, this is a class game!

You can buy controller extensions such as golf club, baseball bat etc which can add to the feeling of gameplay, and they only cost a few quid.

Overall this package offers a great variety of fun and challenges - not too easy but anyone can get to grips with it, so for family occasions Wii Sports is a great game to play.
