Advantages: Great games to play and some are challenging. Wii fitness tests

Disadvantages: Replayablility is terrible witha capital T

I have been at wii sports for just over a year now and after such a long time you'd think that I have already got bored of them? Well the simple answer is this, I haven't got bored of them at all!
With such inovative and creative ideas such as Golf using the controller and boxing using the nunchuk and controller in the motion you use for boxing!
The main concept of wii sports is using the wii remote controller to compete in sports, and the normal way you play this sport is the way you would use the remote. Sound simple? good.

The basic breakdown of wii sports is seen as five different sports, however I see it as these sections.
Sports ( Golf, Bowling etc.)
Fitness testing ( Wii fitness and training)

The sport's section contains the basic building block the five games which are Golf, Bowling, Boxing, Tennis and baseball all with there individual controls, such as...
Boxing ( Jabbing, crossing and uppercutting with the nunchuk and remote.
Golf - Swinging the wii remote at different stroke speeds to determine the power and curl of the shot.
Baseball - Pitching is relatively simple just throwing as you would in a normal baseball game. Batting is also fairly simple as all you do is swing the remote at the right time.
Bowling - Again simply swinging the remote in a upward motion
Tennis - While controlling two players you must swing at the correct and accurate times. Just like a normal game of tennis!

While all these games have some major connection to the original games you cannot stop feeling that you aren't actually connected to the game.
One major problems with wii bowling in specific is that many people devise formula's and cheats to get perfect strikes each time. These make the game pretty much useless as it is WAY too easy and the whole idea of being connected to the game is being put to nothing.

The game menu's are perfectly easy to navigate through with the basic titles going down the page.

Another key recipe that Nintendo has cooked up is the Wii fitness tests that they have devised. These tests consist of doing 3 of a range of activities which test you're fitness, speed and balance. These games are very fun but after a while the replayablility factor wears down and then the game begins the process to becoming boring.
Also the age restricts under 18 year olds and is targeted at older people(s). Another flop by nintendo as most of they're customers are children!
As well as testing your self you can replay the games to train for your next test as each game is playable in the training menu.
It may sound like a lot but there is not a huge amount of them, as there is 3 per sport and combined it equates to 15 games which believe me get's really boring.

Another inspired feature that they have is achieving medal's for the training and fitness tests such as bronze, silver , gold and the most prestigous of all, The platinum medal!
When you've earned a new medal the game send a message to your console alerting you of the achievement!

Overall I think the game is a brilliant step for nintendo as they have had a chance to test out they're new motion sesnors. However I would definitely like to see a lot more replayablility in new versions of wii sports.

Thanks for reading

Nearly a VU, but it really could have done with more proofreading. (Their/there/they're, for example.)
