Advantages: None Really!
Disadvantages: Poor Graphics, Tiny Targets, Not Useable by Youngsters
World of Zoo for the Wii wasn't really worth the £10 we paid for it in Tesco. It's only £7.99 on Amazon, and frankly I don't think it's worth that much! For a modern release, this is a really poor effort.
The aim of the game is... Well, I'm still not sure.
You start off with an animal which you have to look after, but it's not clear how you're supposed to look after it. You have to muddle through trying various things to make your animal happy, and there's absolutely no indication of when you're going to achieve happiness for your animal, or how you're supposed to progress within the game.
What's more, despite this being quite a young sounding game, it's totally inappropriate for youngsters who are new to gaming to play! The icons that need to be clicked on are really tiny and hard for new gamers to manage to click on. The grandson got really upset and frustrated with this game for that reason alone. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't line up his Wiimote properly to access the functions he wanted.
There's a fair bit of reading in this game as well, and though the grandson can read pretty well for his age, even he couldn't manage all the small print and long words.
The graphics for this game are poor, and akin to something you'd expect from a 1990's PC game. In fact I think Theme Park had better graphics and that was made 20yrs ago! The animals move in clumpy, poorly designed manners and there were lots of pauses for things to load throughout.
We've given up on this game and won't bother with it in the future. It was a waste of a tenner. The graphics are poor and it has no idea who it wants to appeal to. On the one hand it wants to appeal to young gamers with a really easy and basic main goal, but on the other it can only really be accessed by older gamers who can read small writing fluently and line up the Wiimote to hit tiny targets.
What a disappointment.

Yep - good concept, just very poorly designed.
