A fantastic game for the young computer gamer

Well we decided after lots of pestering to buy our 6 year old son the Skylanders Giants starter pack which we thought was a lot of money for a Computer game. This was our first impression. The Game comes with a portal of power which is a base that connects to the Wii. You place a figure onto this portal and they light up. The portal changes colour quite magically for a 6 year old especially when the figures come to life in the game. The starter pack comes complete with three figures Spryro, Tree rex and Cynder. Additional figures can be bought and there are 40+ to choose from. The starter pack also comes with three skylanders trading cards a sticker sheet and poster. We have found that you need a second Nun chuck to play the combat part of the game however you can play the main adventure part of the game with just one.
Our son also enjoys playing with the figures when it is time to turn off the Wii as we like to discourage him from playing to much. My son has been interested in the world of skylanders for the last six months and talks to older boys using this as a talking point. He knows a large number of the characters.
