A great classic set just after World War 2. This is Arthur Miller at his very best. This is a great drama about lies and truths. It is about a perfect American family, the Kellers. Joe Keller the father of the family has made alot of money out of the war by selling cylinder heads to the army for aeroplanes. but, one certain batch of cylinders was cracked and when shipped and put in P-40's 21 pilots died. A court case ensued and Joe and Steve were sent down. However Steve was convicted and is still in prison for six years. Joe's son Chris is very ashamed of his father because of his ignorance for the lives lost in the war. The rest I'll leave to you to go and watch the play or have a great read of this twisting storyline. Other books from Arthur Miller's collection include "a view from the bridge" and "Death of a salesman" Although I reccomend you go and read or see all of them.
Joe Keller sells damaged plane parts, then discovers his son is a crash victim.
