Advantages: Funny and Chaotic

Disadvantages: Humour not for the lighthearted

As an Oilrig Worker this has become essential reading among most of the rigs I have worked on.
Paul Carter is an English born ex-Drill Rig worker turned writer.
This book is his debut and chronicles the adventures and troubles he encounters whilst on and off the oilrigs of the world.
With his humour Paul delivers a look into the anarchaic life of the Drill Rig worker. He works in some of the most inhospitable places in the world, encounters problems and troubles no one man should have to, and somehow emerges from the other side relatively unscathed!
The people he encounters and describes in the book are people you could only encounter on an Oilrig. Being a Rig Worker myself believe me when I say they are a different beast altogether.
Paul takes you on a rollercoaster ride from one side of the world to another with so many laughs and shocks along the way.
To the people who have not enocuntered the strange world of oilrigs some of this will be unbelievable, but most rig workers will tell you the situations we get into are sometimes unbelievable!

This is essential reading for anyone who works in the industry or is associated with the industry.
But more than that this is a very funny totally chaotic read that anybody will struggle to put down.

Summary: A riot from start to finish
