      Disadvantages

An excellent product with useful exam tips and practical knowlege within

This book was one of the essential textbooks for my BSc Economics and Management course. It relates well to key modules such as microeconomics and macroeconomics but can also be applied to many other modules such as financial accounting and operations management.
I have a slightly older version of the book but the majority of the content is very similar if not exactly the same. I found that although this book is called the essentials of economics, it actually covers a wide range of topics which may not give you an in depth knowledge of everything but gives you a more well rounded knowledge of the subject as a whole. It was made interesting by applications to real life scenarios and also the variety of situations presented.
The MyEconLab code that is provided with some copies of this book is also very useful. This code provides you access to the MyEconLab website which is very useful for learning a little bit extra as well as checking your existing knowledge. In my case it was for practice as well as for university assessments. The majority of the website is multiple choice questions which are available on every topic in the book, but also available is an e-book version of the textbook with extra information available on selected parts. The website makes this book even better because you can access it anywhere.
This book is an excellent companion for anyone doing an Economics degree in particular, but also for anyone doing a Business degree. Highly recommended.
