ALLERGY TIME IS HERE AGAIN!! I recently bought this Self Help book. Having a houseful of allergy sufferers...eczema, asthma, hayfever....I thought it was worth finding out what other remedies there are. It is a nice book, with colour illustrations, hard back, & educational, explaining what are allergies, what causes them & why. Theres a section on conventional medical treatments. Followed by a chapter for each alternative treatment. There are many Natural/alternative remedies, Herbal, Homeopathy, Bach Flower, Acupuncture, Reflexology, Hypnotherapy, Visulisation, are just some of what this book covers. Each Allergy is also covered in separate chapters, some of which are, Anaphylatic Shock, Drug reactions, Food alergies, Insect stings, Skin allergies, Asthma.... I have really found this book interesting & helpful. It explains how to Test for allergies. How to Prevent your allergy. What to avoid. There is a good list of useful addresses from all around the world too. I haven`t had a chance to try out a lot of what I have read, I have to decide which remedy to try first, but this book has certainly taught me a lot, that I didn`t know. The section I thought was good was Charts listing the pollen seasons around the world...handy to know if going on holiday abroad. The book is bright and laid out clearly, and it tells us all we need to know. I`d recommend this book to anyone who has someone in the family with an allergy.
