The Collins Gem - SAS Fitness Guide is a superb, pocket sized guide to getting yourself very fit and/or losing weight. It includes lots of information on safe warming up/excercising, excercise routines, healthy eating, cooking, calorie/fat watching, ways to incorporate it into your daily life and general fitness tips. It's written by Barry Davies, an accomplished writer and ex-SAS (Special Air Service) soldier of 18 years. If anyone knows about physical fitness and hard work, it's an SAS soldier. The book is a nice size, it's in colour and offers good advice and helps one set achievable goals. It won't actually make you fit magically, but it'll help you understand the ways to get fit safely and effectively, whilst hopefully enjoying yourself. It's a wonderful guide and it's helped me build my fitness. It's also very reasonably priced at £4.99. I got mine from Amazon.co.uk for about £4, which is a little better. A good read.
