Plot: The Pardoner s Tale is a part of The Canterbury Tales , but focusing in on one character in particular. This one is about the Pardoner, a person who helps people become pardoned for their sins in return for money. In the Prologue, we see the Pardoner telling all of the other pilgrims exactly who he is; how he is false, and is only using his job as a way to make himself some money. He openly admits his fraudulence, which could possibly put his job in jeopardy? The Host (one of the pilgrims) tells him to tell a moral tale; something which you would think he isn t capable of. However, his tale is one of how greed was the downfall of three young men; maybe a bit ...
