Handmade Marketplace is a brilliant book for anyone starting out in trying to turn their creative hobby into a business. I purchased this after browsing amazon trying to find a book which would help me get started, and as this one had brilliant reviews I decided to purchase it.

This book covers everything you could possibly want to know about turning your handmade hobby into a business whether online or at local craft fairs - and is really easy to read and follow. It also includes advice and quotes from a wide range of successful sellers. The book is split into different sections and has little questions and exercises to get your idea's and inspiration flowing. It explains the importance of setting up and establishing our brand, the importance of blogging and having an internet presence, as well as the necessity of making contacts and building a good customer base. It literally covers everything you can think of and more and for me it has proved invaluable. I read the book from cover to cover very quickly and then went back through to make notes and write down important things that I thought were particularly helpful - and there was alot!

The book currently retails for £8.99 on amazon, or you can buy it used for £5.39 - but then you dont get the free postage so you may aswell get it new. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone starting out with their own handmade business! Even though it is written by an american author it applies to the UK aswell, and is absolutely full of great advice and invaluable information!
