Advantages: Lots of fun and hides your screen from those who you do not wish to see it.

Disadvantages: Price and postage a little expensive.

~ Overview ~

Yes I have decided to write a few reviews on novelty items and does show how simple minded I am but still it is somewhat humorous. I find items like this irresistible and stimulates my brain with such ease, although when you show this diminutive gadget to your work mates they will all yearn for one!

It cheers me up anyway, particularly when im surfing the net when I should be doing work and my manager walks in unexpectedly. Simples - just push the big red button and it produces the spreadsheet you last had open on your desktop, what a marvellous invention.

The best place I would recommend storing this device under your desk so your manager cannot see it. When I say under your desk I mean place it upside down and use sticky tape to attach it underneath your desk, then you can press it emergency situations. The first time I tried it fell off and made a loud noise, which isn't how you're meant to use it. If your also looking at things you shouldn't on the computer and your partner walks over, easy just press this button and your back is covered.

~ Price and Shop ~

I bought my panic button from the heals.co.uk website which sells this item for around £12 which is cheap enough for any nerd with a simple mind to try out (yes me). There is a delivery charge of £4.95 too but this is a great Christmas or birthday present for your friends or work colleagues as a 'Secret Santa Gift'.

~ Design ~

This product has a large red button which looks like something out of a military base which should be used to fire weapons of mass destruction, in this case it doesn't destroy it creates a spreadsheet which covers your screen to hide whatever your hiding. The button is encircled by yellow and black stripes as if it was warning others to stay away as this is hazardous or unsafe.

~ Using the item ~

It is somewhat trouble-free, you simply plug and play (plug the USB into your USB port on your PC/Laptop) and set what you wish to pop up e.g. screensaver or spreadsheet - the preference is yours too chose.

~ Conclusion ~

I love items like this which are a bit of fun, especially if you want something to take your mind off stressful things like work! It can be used by adults or young children who have a knack for computing or another way of putting it those who can switch electrical objects on and off. The price and postage combined can be a bit expensive but the enjoyment you get out of it will surpass the disappointment of the cost.

My Rating: 4/5

Summary: A great little novelty toy which is easy to use and lots of fun!
