Colour Changing Duck
Advantages: fun, quirky, affordable, long lasting.
I received a pack of four colour changing ducks as a present from a friend - around five years ago - and I'm happy to say that they're still going strong.
My four ducks are yellow and they light up red. They stand at approximately five centimetres tall and they're around the same in width - so they're smaller than your average rubber duck.
These ducks light up when the metal sensors on the bottom are activated, so if you put them in the bath then they will light up as they float and they're also activated by touch. You should get around 21 hours of light out of each duck - and all mine still work after five years - but I don't often put they in the bath.
I find that these little ducks make quirky bathroom ornaments, so my four sit on my windowsill and I've lost count of the number of times people have asked me where they're from!
A set of four ducks costs between £5.00 and £8.00; and you can pick they up pretty easily on-line. They're packaged in a clear plastic box that has four separate compartments - each one houses a different duck.
I'd say that these ducks make great presents - especially for the person that has everything! I also think that children would enjoy them - they'd make a fun bathroom toy - but that said, they're not suitable for anybody under the age of three.
Overall I'd say that I'm more than happy with my colour changing ducks and I can't think of any disadvantages to them - five stars.
Summary: An original, quirky gift!
