Advantages: Cute Little Guy, Great Quality, Fair Price

Disadvantages: None

The Lego Key Light Keyring came out just recently, and is surprisingly reasonably priced! You can expect to pay up to £7 for a standard Lego minifig keyring, yet this adorable little guy complete with working lights costs only £4.99! It's £4.99 if you buy it in store at Toys R Us, but if you buy it online, everywhere seems to have priced it at £5.99, including Amazon. That's still a pretty fair price for this though.

Inside the smart little packaging you'll find a little Lego minifigure who is about twice the size of a standard minifig. He's been made in perfect proportions, and looks like he'd be right at home living in a little Lego house or driving around in a Lego car. He's even got circular dimples in his feet, in the same way which standard minifigs do so that they can fit onto bricks and boards.

These dimples in his feet actually light up though, and with an extremely powerful little light which surprised me. There is light in both feet, so you can use him like a torch with his body straight, or as in the picture you can just have one of his little feet pointing upwards. He's fully posable the same as regular minifigs are, so you can even sit him down and have his feet shining away if you want to. I know it's quite sad, but I can't get over how cute this little guy is.

To work him, you hold down his tummy button (the Lego logo). He only lights up while you're holding the button down, which is great for kids as there's not too much risk of them running his batteries out overnight by forgetting to switch him off in their bag. Obviously this isn't just for kids though, and it looks at home on adult Lego fans' keyrings just as much as it does on a teenager's or child's.

This is a great little product at a surprisingly reasonable price. This little guy looks great, feels like he's been made to a high standard and works really well too. As he's not available on the Lego Shop site, I'm not sure if he's been designed and marketed by Lego directly, or an affiliate company of some sort. Either way, I'm really impressed with this Lego product and would recommend it to all Lego fans, especially those who could do with a little light on their keyring (which is handier than you will have realised before you own one yourself!).

Summary: Highly Recommended
