      A bath toy with bite!

My son has always had a plethora of bath toys with him at his bath time, not only does he enjoy playing with them but the fact he now begs to have his bath at night is testament to how much he enjoys this time of the day, which makes it much easier for me to keep the kids clean!

My sister knowing this fact turned up with this fantastic bath toy that I will now review for, not only was this apt due to his love of bath time, but also due to my husband being a huge fan of the animal this toy is based on, my son knowing this even offered to let his Dad play with the toy when he was in the bath...bless!

The toy in question is - "Paladone - pull cord hungry shark".

When he first opened his present I loved the descriptions of the toy before we had even took it out f the box, with it stating that "bath time never used to be so gory" and "just when you thought it was safe to get back in the bath tub", these made me chuckle before I had even seen the toy itself.

The toy consists of a shark, complete with a moveable tail to propel the shark through the bath water, then in it's vicious and full toothed mouth is a man, that when pulled comes away from the shark body on a draw string, which is not only what holds the toy together but also powers the shark.

Once immersed in the water it floats close enough and upright enough to the surface of the water for it to be visible when in motion.

When we tried it I pulled the man away from the toy, which at it's longest distance only measured around 6" away, so when released it only took about 5 seconds for the shark and man to become entwined again, though the effect was fantastic!

Instead of the man looking like it is being dragged back into the mouth of the shark, it honestly looks like the shark is chasing the man, and due to how the man has been moulded, it looks like it is a panicked swimmer trying to escape, with arms bent as if swimming in earnest away, with a look of sheer terror on it's face!

The sharks tail has a real strong propulsion, shooting the shark forward as if it is really swimming to attack, making this quite an exciting toy for a young boy to play with!

The toy itself is well made, with there being no holes to fill up with water like some of the more floatable bath toys have, thus ensure that water doesn't get inside the toy then start growing mould inside of it, but also sealing a small pocket of air into it, making it more buoyant, and holding it higher in the water, with the drag of the pull mechanism keeping it in a more streamlined effect.

Price wise this can be purchased from www.amazon.co.uk for around the £4.99 mark, making a delightful and fun filler present.

This is a nice and unusual present that my son has played with daily since receiving it, it is well made and well thought out and I can only highly recommended it!

      Thanks for reading x
