Why is it that no matter what time of the year it is, summer or winter, rain or shine, there could be snow on the ground but kids always want ice-cream or ice lollies. So when I saw Playskools Mr Frosty I knew it would be a hit, Playskool is a subsidiary of Hasbro and is also responsible for Mr Potato Head. Mr Frosty is available from Argos for £14.99. Mr Frosty is an ice lolly and drink making set. It can make slushy drinks, ice lollies, fruit drinks and ice cube shapes. It is suitable for children of 3 years and above and recommends adult supervision. No batteries are needed and there are no little bits to put together, as Mr Frosty is ready ... Ok call me an overgrown kid.....but I've just bought a Mr Frosty after wanting one for years and years and years..and I think it's a disappointing rip-off. Mr Frosty is an ice shaver/crusher in the shape of a large snowman. You remove his hat and put ice cubes in his head. You then put the hat back on and turn the lever on his back around to crush the ice up. The crushed ice then falls into a container in his tummy, which you pull out. at least that's what's _supposed_ to happen! After rediscovering it we decided it would be a good idea to give it a go - and wondered why on earth we had left it festering in the cupboard when we could have been making wonderful slushes last summer. After about 5 minutes we remebered exactly why it was in the back of the cupboard and think it probably would have ended up in ... Read the complete review

After wanting one of these for years when I was a child, and never getting one, I now realise why my parents didn't waste their money on it. When my oldest son got to the age of being interested in one of these, I got so excited, and bought him one for his christmas. It was more for me than him. You have to get some ice cubes, take off Mr Frosty's hat, and put them in. You then push the ice cubes down, while turning a lever, so the ice gets crushed, ending up in the tray. You can't make very much at a time , you'd need to do it loads of times to get a substantial amount. There was also an ice cube tray to make ice cubes shaped as different fruit, ...
