I quite like unusual quirky stuff so when I saw this, I had to get one! I'm always looking for a pen as well so it's a good place for me to store mine.

He is approximately 5 inches long, and made of rubbery material. He has two X's for eyes (typical of cartoon depictions showing dead people), in a lifelike pose of how a dead person might lie after being stabbed, and he has a hole on the right side of his chest ('heart-side') where you can insert your pen or pencil.

He can get quite dusty to his rubbery nature, but it is easy enough to wipe him with a tissue or wet cloth.

Dead Fred is manufactured and designed by Suck UK who have loads of other cool funky stuff on sale. I think Dead Fred was the first in the range of 'dead' people (Splat Stan coaster and Hanging Harry lightpull are other variants).
