=== The product ===
These are slim clear plastic bottles with white plastic wands that have small hearts on the end. These are fairly simple to look out and our purchase was 'jazzed up' a little with a nice piece of ribbon tied around them so that they blended in with the colour scheme nicely. This also allowed these to look a little more luxurious and like they were especially made for the wedding rather than being a generic internet impulse purchase of mine!
=== The packaging ===
These wands are all individual for ease of use and they come provided in a large plastic tray which is within a cardboard box. The packaging was quite simple and the white plastic tray that they came in was handy for the best man to hold and hand out to guests. The packaging is fairly simple but was sturdy enough that these could be placed on the seat of the car and driven to the wedding venue with no problems at all and it meant that we didn't end up chasing them out from underneath the car seat either if the box did happen to topple over.
=== Were these effective? ===
These were fantastic and I wish that I had purchased these for my own wedding! The guests all grabbed one on the way out of the ceremony before the photographs were taken and in lots of photographs you can see the wonderful effect that all the bubbles had. These were so simple to use and they did not drip all over the place which was important when we went on to the reception venue after the ceremony. The bubbles that were produced were fantastic and because there was a little dash of wind throughout the day I encouraged the children to hold their wands up and let the wind do the work. This went down incredibly well and looked amazing in the photographs!
=== Where can I purchase these & for how much? ===
We purchased a multi-pack of these (48 favours) and paid around £9.50 including postage and packaging from a seller on Amazon.co.uk. These are currently available (September 2011) for £6.64 + £3.99 shipping making them just over £10.50 and making each one just over 22p which is fantastic value for money if you are hosting your wedding on a tight budget and want something nice for your guests to have fun with.
=== Overall opinion ===
I was so pleased with my purchase. We were helping some friends who were getting married with short notice and very short funds and I was volunteered for the task of organising wedding favours of some description. I ordered a few different things, all on a shoestring budget but it is fair to say that these were incredibly well received and loved by all! The children had hours of fun playing with these on the lawns at the side of the reception venue and these definitely kept them occupied during the many hours of boring, tedious, dull photographs (we all know the ones!).
I would firmly recommend these. The wands were strong, sturdy and very simple to use. They were a firm hit with all guests, they are slim enough to fit in to a shirt pocket or a very small purse as pockets and space always tend to be a little limited at weddings, I know that the bride actually stuck one inside the bodice of her dress for safe keeping! These were a fantastic way of making the wedding look and feel a little more luxurious and the bride was very shocked with just how cheap these were when I told her which is always a fantastic feeling!
