Lots of fun and a good way to pass time

I was bought this for christmas by a friend who thought I would love it seeing as I was a drummer. I don't know what she paid but I have seen them for sale at around £20-£30 so I assume around that mark.

It is basicly like an electronic mouse mat. The pads are touch sensitive and there is 8 different sounds you can play, which actually sound very much like the actual drum. There is a high hat, 3 tom tom's, a bass and 2 cymbals.

You can easilly adjust the tempo and the volume using the buttons on the top part of the mat. You can also play a demo beat which you can listen to alone or play along too.

A feature that I particulary liked is that you can record yourself playing and play it back afterwards. This means you get to show off just how good you are to all your friends.

Now as a drummer myself I'm often tapping away on whatever I can find for times when I can't get out my own kit so this is great for me, It passes time and it's great fun.

I think it's quite a well made product and a very novel idea.

The kit is the size of a mouse mat - in fact you can use it as one if you like - though that might be a little noisy as it's a touch sensitive pad that replicates the sound of a traditional drum kit. Drum kit includes a high hat, three tom toms, a bass drum and two cymbals - just tap them and they'll blast out through the in-built speaker.
