I bought my Chicco cradle when my son was 2 weeks old and have used it since then. I like the fact that I can fold it down flat so he can sleep comfortably on it, as it it were a bed. If you get this cradle, it does away with using a Moses basket for your baby to sleep in when you are out of the bedroom in the day. I also like the musical box function which seems to soothe him a good deal!! There are two cloth handles for carrying it which is a nice touch... The only disadvantage I think is that it doesn't rock very well...... I would defintely recommend it to parents as it doubles as a bed as well as a seat, and is very well constructed.. ...

The fact that you can have it either rocking of fixed is really good but other things are not. In the fully reclined position, baby is leant back with a big dip where the bottom is. It doesn't lie flat like I thought it would do. I don't think this makes is suitable for a newborn at all. Also the harness is huge!! My son is no petit little thing at 7 months but ...

This is one of the more expensive cradles about, however, I feel it is good value for money. With no1 son I bought a cheap babystore make and I don't know how many times it tipped right over with him still in it! It came to a sorry end when his bum fell through it! This one is very strong and sturdy . It is navy with polka dots on so it keeps clean-looking longer. It is also easily washed and still looks good even with many spells of regurgarated food on it! There is a strap by which you can carry baby round it although I wasn't too impressed with this- too flimsy. You can also adjust it so it rocks or stays still, it is also excellent for feeding ...
