“ Brand: Leisurebrands / Type: Wall Hangings „
I have just recently redecorated my daughters playroom. It was magnolia and very boring. I painted the room a aqua blue on the bottom half of the wall and kept the magnolia on the top half.
I bought the little mermaid wall sticker to make a border to go around the room. I bought the stickers from ebay for £8.00. I have bought the disney princess ones before for her bedroom. They are cheap and a fantastic way to brighting up a room.
The stickers come on 6 sheets and contain 57 stickers. All the stickers are based on the Little Mermaid characters. The pack includes ariel the mermaid, sabastian the crab, flounder the fish, air bubbles and seaweed.
They are very easy to use, You need to work out the way you want to lay them on the wall. In my case i made a border going around the room. They can only be stuck to smooth walls or smooth wall paper. Will not work on artects surfaces or embossed wall paper.
You peel them off the sheets and place on the wall, you have to smooth them flat against the wall and make sure you have all the air bubbles out. If any air bubbles are left the stickers will peel off. If you are not happy with where you placed them they can be peeled of and resticked where you want them.
They are so bright in colour and have lots of detail in them. My daughter was delighted with her new playroom. The little mermaid is her fave disney film. The stickers made the room look amazing and i have peace of mind that when she grows out of the disney theme i can remove the sticker easy. I recommend these as they are so cheap and you can change a room in mins.
My daughter has a variety of stickarounds in her bedroom as she likes all different characters. I try to pick them up cheaply as they can be pretty expensive, usually costing around £25.00 per pack. One set my daughter has is the Little Mermaid set which I was lucky to pick up in Wilkinsons reduced to £5.00.
The stickers come in a pack of 57 in the case of the Little Mermaid but some may well be more or less depending on which character you purchase. I know the Dora the Explorer ones she has had 93 stickers in.
The stickarounds are made of a shiny vinyl and are self adhesive. The stickarounds are not sticky in the way that you would think of stickers normally being - they are adhesive in the same way as reusable stickers. These are also reusable. To use the stickers all you have to do is peel them off of their backing and place them on to the wall. You must make sure that the wall you apply them on to is dry and clean and flat wallks work best.
They are easy to remove and move around if you wish. They do not mark the walls at all and peel off very easily. I have never had one of the stickarounds mark my walls yet and we have had loads of them. They do not leave any sticky residue either. If you do find that you are having difficulty removing them from the wall (which is highly unlikely) then all you need to do is blast the heat of a hairdryer on the stickaround for a few seconds and it will peel away from the wall.
The Littler Mermaid stickerarounds are very well detailed and look exactly as Ariel & Co look in the film. They are bright and colourful. The pack contains 4 of the main characters from the film though there is no sign of Ursula. In the pack there are also tiny stickers of star fish, water bubbles and other under sea pieces. The stickarounds are all of different sizes with the biggest being around 20cm and it is of Ariel. The larger stickerarounds are all of Ariel whereas the smaller ones tend to be of Flounder, Prince Eric & Sebastian.
The stickarounds looked lovely when they were on the wall and my daughter had lots of fun helping to put them on her wall. She created little scenes with some of them which involved Flounder looking as though he was swimming around Ariel which look really good.
The stickarounds really liven up my daughter's bedroom and look really nice and professional. They do not look cheap or tacky at all. There are no white edges of anything to them, they give the impression that they have been painted on.
An absolutely great product though a tad expensive if you have to purchase them at full price.
Highly recommended item.
My friends little girl is Little Mermaid mad. She is forever watching the film and singing the songs. Nearly every time I see her she is dressed in the little mermaid costume. She is so cute. Her mum and dad have just split up and money is a little bit tight. She has a new bedroom and has been nagging her mum for it to be decorated in Little Mermaid.
Her mum asked for my help as I am really artistic and have a flair for home decorating. I love anything which invoves being creative. I did contemplate drawing a mural on her wall, but I couldn't really afford the time with two children of my own. I have been searching for cheap and less time consuming ideas which would still look effective, and keep my little friend happy.
I was in b and q the other week, when I came across these pack of 57 wall stickers. They were on offer for a very impressive £15. They are usually retailing for almost double this price so I was really excited I had found this bargain. The little mermaid stickers were very well made. They not only include the Ariel (the mermaid) but also other characters such as Flounder (the fish) Prince Eric (ariel's sweetheart) and Sebastian (the crab).
The wall stickers were very pretty and I knew they would work well to create a perfect Little mermaid bedroom. I was pleased that the stickers of Ariel were all quite similar. Although it was great that she was sat in different positions as this made some of the stickers easier to fit around certain areas such as the light switch. The stickers were not too large and imposing. Which I also liked as it somehow made the decor look more expensive and less tacky.
The stickers were pretty simple to use. They did have quite a strong sticky backing that once placed on an area was quite difficult to peel back off. However I did manage to reapply a few of the stickers that I had placed wrongly. I was pleased that they were quite strong in nature and could be handled without worrying about tearing. The stickers were very bright and vibrant. I was very impressed with the quality of the stickers as I thought they looked really charming. Even the features of Ariels face were well defined.
I found that this pack of stickers, was more than enough to make an impression on the decor of the room. Infact, I though any more stickers would have over cooked the goose and made the room look too busy. I also managed to stick a few of the stars fish and crabs on a chest of drawers which really made an excellent difference. And tied in the Little Mermaid theme into the furniture.
Because there are so many colours within these stickers it is easy to coordinate curtains and bedding which look really cute and authentic without having to spend a fortune.
I was pleased that the stickers didnt develop any air bubbles underneath after I had placed them. Infact they create a real good effect almost like wall paper. They certainly don't look cheap or home made.
My friends little girl was thrilled. I can't believe the difference we made with these stickers, they really are excellent. They take very little time to fit onto the wall. You don't need any glue and there are no tricky methods to fitting. You just basically peel around the outline and pull the sticker away from the backing. Then stick to the desired area. What I would say, is take your time when allocating the area as they are quite tricky to peel off after they have been stuck down.
I am really pleased with these stickers, they are indeed in my opinion excellent value for money. Particularly the reduced price. What a bargain!! We have managed to radically change a little girls bedroom for a very low cost. Making for one happy little princess!!
It is worth mentioning that these stickers can be used for other areas as well as a bedroom wall. They can be stuck to mirrors or doors and also around a plastic bin in order make a real statement. If you have any left over you can encourage your child to help you to decorate a plain cardboard box. We did this and she now keeps her little colouring pencils and books inside. Such a cheap and effective addition to the whole ambiance of the bedroom.
I remember watching Disney's film The Little Mermaid many moons ago when I was younger, and when I saw a copy on DVD recently I bought my daughter a copy, which started her new obsession with the Little Mermaid last year. Because we were decorating her room, when we saw a packet of the Little Mermaid vinyl stickers for sale at B&Q, she really wanted them. We actually had a voucher for B&Q, and as we had everything else we needed already, we paid £12 for a packet of the stickers for her as they were on offer.
The pack contains 57 stickers and the characters of Arial the Little Mermaid, Prince Eric, Sebastian the lobster and Flounder the fish are all included. Some are as big as 20cm long (Ariel) but others are smaller. The only main character missing is the baddie Ursula, but I don't think my little girl would have wanted a obese evil octopus lady on her wall anyway, that's probably the reason she was left out. There are also lots of starfish and bubble stickers in the pack which you can dot around inbetween the larger main character stickers.
To use the vinyl stickers, you just peel the sticky back off each one as they are self adhesive so have glue on the back. The instructions state that you have to stick the stickers to a clean, dry, flat surface, so we dusted the wall first to make sure the glue would adhere properly. One of the best things about these stickers aside from the bright and colourful Disney designs is that they can be repositioned if you put them in the wrong place - you can just peel them off and they don't leave any sticky glue on the wall at all. In my opinion this is a very good thing, given my daughter liked to help me put them on the wall and the result looked like the characters had all been in an underwater earthquake.
The stickers have not lost their bright colours over the past few months, and look as good as new, they're not peeling in the slightest, and my daughter is still very much obsessed with anything Little Mermaid related. The stickers make her room look very girly, and they are a fun, clean way to brighten up bedroom walls, and if you change your mind about them, you can easily taken them off without any damage to the walls. Highly recommended.
I got wall stickers for my little girls new bedroom when we moved. She is a proper girly girl and she loves Ariel the Little Mermaid so I though these would be great.
We had painted her walls plain magnolia and needed something bright and colourful to cheer up the room. These did the trick perfectly. I got them from B &Q for £11.99, they are usually around £25-£30.
The stickers are vinyl coated and are self adhesive. Simply peel off the backing and place onto the wall. Its as simple as that! The stickers are also easily removable and can be replaced if needed. They don't leave any residue on the wall when they are removed.
There are 57 stickers in the pack and these feature all of the charcters ( apart from Ursula!) from The Little Mermaid.
There are lots of larger stickers of Ariel which measure 20cm and the other stickers are all smaller and are of Sebastian the lobster, Flounder and Prince Eric. There are also loads of tiny stickers of bubbles and starfish.
The stickers are all bright and colourful, they look great stuck on the wall, I was a little worried that they would just look cheap but they don't.
We scattered the larger stickers and mixed the smaller stickers in amongst them, I think they look better this way.
There is a age range of 3 years and older on these stickers and I suppose that is if younger children try and put them in their mouths. My daughter was 4 when we got these and she loved helping us to put them up-although we did rearrange them when she had gone to bed!
These stickers have been on her wall for over a year and none have fallen off, they haven't peeled off in the corners and still look as colourful as when we first applied them.
When applying these stickers the surface must be clean, flat and dry.
The stickers are great for adding colour and decoration to a wall without doing something permanent to it. I would definately recommend them.
These Stikarounds are brill, we've had loads of different designs over the years but my favourite so far has been these Disney Little Mermaid ones. They only cost about £9.00 from Wilkinsons in the sale they had just after Xmas, you get 57 wall stickers..... but that's a bit misleading actually because most of them are little star fishes and shell shapes, so don't expect them all to be of Aerial and her pals.
In my pack there was 14 Aerials in a couple of different poses, a few of the lobster crab things and 9 Flounders. Even the shells and star fishes are great though so I didn't feel ripped off or anything like that, I was expecting more of the main characters though and was worried that my little sister was going to be disappointed even though she was only 2 at the time and didn't even know how many was supposed to be in there!
The biggest stickers are Aerial but they are just the right size, some of the Stikarounds I've just have been TOO big and hard to get straight on the wall. These are dead easy to put up as long as the wall is flat, and Aerial is the easiest of all even though she's the biggest in the pack. I cocked the first one up but learnt after that that by easing her onto the wall tail first I could get the stickers on the wall tidy without any bubbles or creases.
It's worth spending a bit of time sussing out how you're going to arrange the stickers on the wall so that you can get a nice scene put up. My sister's room is the right size for her to have all the stickers on one wall so we could make it a feature wall and these 57 stickers are perfect to cover one wall but without making it look crowded.
Even though these have been up a good 6 months now none of them have peeled off the wall or come loose, the sticky is really good on them but that can be a bad thing because if you make a mistake putting them on the wall it is hard to remove them. Obviously these are still on my sisters wall but I know from other Stickaround sets that they can be quite hard to get off the wall when you want a change. I got my dad to remove the last set and remember him using soapy water and holding the wet sponge on them for ages, then he had to carefully use a wall paper scraper. It looked a proper pain but he had to be careful because he didn't want to damage the wallpaper behind the stickers.
Recommended.... easy to use and make a childs room look wicked!
Liven up baby's nursery with Aerial and friends.
