I love this chair, and my daughter seems to love it too!

It took me a long time to find a rocker I really liked enough to buy for my new daughter. I didn't want to go overboard with the pink or the dangly bits, and wanted something that would last her past the six months or so that most rocker/bouncer chairs offer.

I stumbled accross the Fisher Price Baby Studio Seat and Rocker in Mothercare while researching defferent ones. It was a lot more expensive than what I was looking to pay and there were few reviews on it as it is part of a new range by Fisher Price, but I really liked the look of it - not all pink and girly (which is not really me at all!) and not to masculine either, the print is very retro, it and it has music and vibrate functions so I decided this was the one as it's suitable from birth to 9kg.

The chair arrived flat pack and I was dreading having to put it together (although I do love assembling flat pack, some baby things can be a bit tricky) but this was really easy! The parts all feel very solid as it is made of wood so I'm not worried that my little one is going to fall out or injure herself on it. The seat is nice a deep too so she looks well supported and the side mesh panels provide good ventilation. The chair has 2 positions, rocking and stationary, easily chaged between the two by 2 sliding mechanisms on the rear of the legs, so as baby grows she can use it as a little chair too!

I was pleasently surprised by the music on the Fisher Price Baby Studio Seat and Rocker. Usually the music on these type of things tend to be a plinky plonky and drive me insane after a minute or so but the music on this chair is pretty soothing! It actually sounds like instruments rather than some dodgy old 80's keyboard synthesiser, and also has nature sounds. You can't pick and choose which of the 8 songs or sounds to play, it just rotates through them, but it's not overly loud so isn't intrusive at all.

The green head hugger is made from lovely soft material and the main seat unit padding is removable and machine washable. It also has a teething ring attatched to the harness for when baby is a bit bigger.

My daughter loves being in the chair, and I love the well made and stylish look of the chair too!
