~ Fisher Price Ocean Wonders Aquarium Mobile ~

My mother and father in-law bought this mobile for my little boy just before he was born, my 5 year old was their first grandchild and they wanted to buy something practical that he would get pleasure out of and I was very pleased that they had chosen this.
We had gone out and bought everything we needed expect that is a cot mobile, we had no idea what they had bought despite them saying it was something really nice and when my mother in-law came to the house with this I was very happy. Not only was I happy because it looked nice but it also saved us a few quid!

I remember it came packaged in a rather large cardboard box, the box had all the relevant information on it, including a picture of the mobile in use - It showed it attached to a cot with a baby gazing at it.

Everything was ready for the arrival of our little boy, so I got about getting the mobile set up and put onto the side of the cot.
The bottom part of the mobile has a cute fish bowl area, it is a gel filled squidgy to the feel plastic toy which when baby is too old for the whole mobile this can be used alone.
Into this part you need to place the arm of the mobile, there is a little plastic cover that slides back to reveal the slot into which this fits, hanging from the mobile are three colourful and rather cute fish, inbetween the fish are hanging green ribbons which are meant to replicate seaweed. It's a nice jolly colourful cot mobile.
At the top of the mobile is a little dome which lights up and fills the room with glorious patterns, like a little light show.
It also comes with a remote control so it can be activated without disturbing baby further when baby wakes up.

The mobile can be activated to sound lullabies or underwater sounds, you can also just have the light show, the fish moving, or just music. There is a switch located on the unit which allows you to choose which mode to choose.

I found it really soothed my little one and used it from birth, I would put him down to sleep in his moses basket at night and then carry that upstairs and place the basket into the cot, if the movement disturbed my little one, I would simply put the mobile on and he would watch the lights dancing on the ceiling and swiftly fall back to sleep.

The main unit requires 4 D batteries and the remote requires 2 AA batteries.

It screws onto the side of the cot very easily, a large plastic screw sticks out of the back of the mobile and a large plastic 'nut' screws onto it to hold it firmly in place.

I am sad to say that I could not use it for my next baby as my hubby stored it in the shed where the fish bowl part was pierced by something. The mobile still worked perfectly but I didn't think it was suitable for use due to the one bit being broken.
Had it not been for that I would have definitely used it again.
I ended up needing to buy another mobile and this time I chose a Playskool Gloworm one which was very cute but didn't have as many features as this one.

You can find this on Amazon priced at £47.99 with a p&p of £6.86 which I think is a little overpriced, as nice as it may be I wouldn't spend that amount on this mobile, however I do know my in-laws did spend in the region of £50 for it 5 years ago.

Thanks for reading :o) x

Summary: A really lovely fish themed mobile.
