This was bought for my daughter when she was born and I can personally say it has been a godsend. You can stand outside of her bedroom and use the remote control to switch the mobile on and soothe her off to sleep again. This is brilliant as with my first child I had a normal beatrix potter wind up mobile from Mothercare and although this was good and eventually worked in getting him to sleep.
