“ Brand: Graco / Type: Cots „
we bought this when we where going on holiday when m 1st child was 18mths and boy do we wish we had bought it befor!!! It is really easy to putup and down and it fits into its own carry bag, which we packed nappies in when we went on holiday. As a playpen it is ideal too as the cot sides are mesh so baby can see you through it and theres plenty of room inside for them to have there toys etc. as a cot it will fit standard cot sheets so theres no extra cost there. Although they do seem quite expensive at first they eally are invaluable especially if you have more than 1 child.I found it usful to put up when Jack was learning to roll and sit,yet his siter wanted to play with her toys, theres no fingers squashed etc
I bought the Little Tykes Travel Cot a fair few months ago from Mothercare for about £48.99. When we got it home i decided to test it to see how it worked, firstly i tried to put it up on my home and got absolutely nowhere, i got in a right muddle so then my sister helped me - still no joy, in the end both my parents my sister nad myself all worked together and after much fiddling we got it erected. then i looked on the matteress and found that on one side it had large clear instructions with pictures of how to erect the travel cot!!!!! recentely i visited my grandma in another part of england so obviously i couldnt take my own cot with me, instead i took the travel cot and thought i'd give it a try. i started to erect it and much to my amazement i did it with great ease and in very few seconds. i've now noticed (after reading how to do it proplerly!!) that it is very easy to erect and dismantle even on your own. My son has trouble settleing in his own cot - he regularly ends up sharing the bed with me as he wont get used to his cot, so i thought taking the travel cot would be a waste of time as he had never even been in it let alone slept in it - but ... amazingly enough the majority of the nights we were there he slept in the travel cot for at least five hours a night! The Little Tikes Travel Cot is mainly Dark blue with some Yellow and Red, I would definately recommend it to anyone who is going to purchase a travel cot, and as your child gets older it is very suitable for a play pen too!
These are brill idea.Unlike the old fold away ones, these can be calapsed and put into a curry bag.Its quite heavy but it can be easily carried from the car or unstairs. I use mine as a travel bed.Its easy to put up with four lockerable sides and has a matress. It has see through mess paneling so you can see little one without peering over the top al the time.Mine is green but they come in all colours and some have a changing panel you can fit on topand a panel for the side to put toys in. Its study and my 2.5 daughter still sleeps in it.I used it as a playpen when she was crawling too as we didnt have stair gates at the the time. Its important the children are supervised but sometimes you have to put the down and knowing that they are not under your feet while doing dinner is brill. I would recommend this travel cot to anyone.Especially if you stay over mums or inlaws as it doubles up as a cot for them too.
Children should be supervised at all times, every parent knows that. In relaity, it is not possible to watch your kids all the time, other things need to be done at the same time. preparing food, washing clothes and bottles does not happen by itself! Not in our house anyway. If anyone has any spare housework pixies, please send them immediately. We bought this playpen to securely contain our son at about a year old when he was crawling/wobbling round the house and for somewhere safe for him to snooze on his own. The mesh sides worried me a little but they are extremely tough and do not seem to split when poked with edges of toys or when picked at with little fingers. The playpen is made up of two main parts. The frame outer folds out to make the playpen rigid then a padded base fits snuggly into the bottom and velcro straps through underneath for securing. The only frustration I have had with it is getting the catches to snap locked properly. This seems to be when folding up or out, the base needs to be pulled up from the middle about 18" to let the sides catch/uncatch properly and can get a bit annoying when they don't work properly. I have never had the playpen fold up or catches come undone when in use though. Having in-laws some distance away it makes a comfortable cot as well. The base is covered in a nylon fabric that does not seem to make them sweat or overheat either which is excellent. When the little darlings tip bottles of milk out into the playpen, the base can be removed soaked and scrubbed and hung out to dry with no damage to the padded filling. All in all, with about two years use and abuse our travel cot is still going strong! Excellent investment!
This was a present from my collegues when I left work. It is a travel cot come playpen and since my daughter started crawling 5 days ago it has been worth its weight in gold. We haven't used it as a travel cot as both our parents have travel cots at their houses. We have set it up in the lounge with a selection of her faveourite toys in it and she just loves it. After her meal we sit her in there whilst her food goes down and she has a great time amusing herself. She also has a little crawl around in there. When I go and get her meals ready it's just great to pop her in there for five minutes and I know she is safe. Please do make sure to move it into an open space incase you baby topples over, so he/she can't bang themselves. I would recommend this to you if your baby has just started crawling as it certainly gives me peace of mind.
Easy to travel with and folds up to nothing! Easy to store and transport, carrying case becomes mattress/bottom board. Very colourful primary colours.
