Advantages: Great features.

Disadvantages: not very colourful.

I got this travel cot when my little one was born. My partners family are all in scotland , so we needed something to take up with us for the baby to sleep in.

We found it quite hard to find this cot. We searched every where, but it was either out of stock, or not sold at that store.
Mothercare had it in there cataloge, so we went along to our local store, only to find that they only sold it in their main stores, and the closest 1 is miles away.

In the end we got the last one in index, which has sadly now shut down.

When we got it home, we set out to put it together.

The instructions
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
had me baffeled!! maybe I'm thick, or maybe my hormones were still playing up. But they were starting to really annoy me!!!
Putting all the right poles in the right places and plugging the wire in correctly wasn't easy. It was quite fiddley. But my boyfriend who was blessed with brains, managed to get it set up.
features
~~~~~~~~~~~~
This cot has lots of great feature.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
BASSINET
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
This attaches nicely to the top of the cot. It is the perfect crib for a newborn. It sits at the right height for next to the bed. The baby is at eye level for you to see the baby. Which is great when they are tiny. I wouldn't suggest you use this feature once your little one satarts to sit it self up though.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
VIBRATION
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Under the mattress on the bassinet, you can attach a viration box. I was a bit concerned that this would hurt the babies back. but i don't think they can feel it.
You have to join the wires to the end where the buttons are. Hmm thet didn't make much sense , i know, but wuth th instructions you would understand. it is quite fiddley though. Anyway, this is then controlled buy a button. You press the button and off it goes. you can control the amount of vibration, and put a timmer on it, so that it turns it self off after so long.
My little one found this very soothing.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
MUSIC
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
The buttons on the end also control the music. This has quite a varitey of music on. from ' you are my sunshine' to 'elvis'.
You can also control the volume and set the timer for this.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
LIGHT
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
The light is located on the end with the buttons. This is not to bright. It gives off just enough light to see the baby. It is perfect for night time feeds, as you can see what you are doing, without disturbing you partner.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
CHANGING MAT
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
The changing mat clips on to the cot, going across. it is very sturdy, and has a safety strap attached, so that your little one cannot roll off. It has a mat attached, so it won't be to cold.
When removed, the mat folds in half for storrage.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
TOYS
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
This has a toy bar which goes across the top. This is very fiddley to put together, and isn't very clourful for your little one. I ended up putting some of his other toys on it.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Bad points
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The features on here are mainly for when you baby is tiny. You can only use the bassinet until they are able to sit them selves up. Which means you can only use the vibrate until that point. so unless you use this as the main cot, you won't get your moneys worth out of these features.

It takes a while to get use to putting it up and down. but once you've got the nack, your laughing.

Price
~~~~~~~~~~
The RRP on this is £99.99
But if you shop around online, you can get it for less.
I found it in kiddicare for £89.99
Great cot though.
We had a bouncer which vibrated - only trouble was as soon as it was turned off the wee one woke up instantly so we tended not to bother. I had the bog standard Graco travel cot which was really useful for us as we were down in Yorkshire at the time and visited up here quite a lot too. I managed to get it at a stall in Skirlington Market from a guy who had a shop too but sold these a bit cheaper. I got it for £30 which was such a bargain as it was very useful. Belinda
