Advantages: Easy to put up
Disadvantages: I havnt found any!
While i was pregnant i knew that we would need a travel cot for when someone was looking after her for the night. But i knew that wouldnt be happening for a while after she was born so i decided to put off getting a travel cot until she was too big for her moses basket as if she was going to stay anywhere we could use that.
When we decided it was time to get a travel cot for her it was really close to christmas so her grandad said that he would buy her a travel cot for her christmas. Which was great as i knew that they could be expensive!
So christmas day came and she got the pack n play compact travel cot. It was so easy to put up!
HOW TO PUT UP THE TRAVEL COT
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
* On the side bars of the travel cot there are brackets which if you pull them up it snaps the bars into place
* Once you have done that to all four sides you are able to push the bottom down.
* To put the base down you simly push the middle down and it clicks into place.
* The padded insert for the base then will slide itno the travel cot
Its so colourful as well! My daughter loves it!
We have it up in our living room all the time and put her toys in it to use it as a playpen. I dont know what i would do without it!
As now she is nearly 11mnths old she is to big to leave in a bouncy chair. Being in her travel cot also lets her be able to move around and teach herself how to stand up etc and be able to fall down without hurting herself as it is well padded and if she falls against one of the sides the netting softens the blow and she jus slides down onto the base and gets straight back up!
It is so easy to pack it back up as well and it fits into a carry bag which makes it easy to transport and wont take up your whole boot space!
HOW TO PACK THE TRAVEL COT AWAY
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
* First you need to remove the padded base insert and place it to the side
* Then you will see a canvas handle attached to the middle of the base
* Pull it up and it will release the base
* You are then free to fold the sides down by pushing the button in that is on the brackets in the middle of the side arms
* You can then fold it up and put the padded base around it securing it with the velcro straps
* It then slides easily into the bag ready to go just like that!
To both set up and dismantle the cot it takes not even 5 mins! Which compared most other travel cots is very quick!
It can also be used as a ball pool! As the other day i was in the early learning centre and i seen the balls for a ball pool were half price so i bought 2 bags and put them in. She loves it so much! She laughs away to herself while throwing the balls around and standing up holding onto the side then falling back into the balls!
I would recomend that any parent/parent to be should have one of these for their child as even though you might not need it straught away for going to stay overnight somewhere it is a great place for you to put your baby to play with the reassurane that they are going to be safe while you go off and do something aroundthe house or even have a sit down and a cup of tea! Cause kets face it being a parent is hard work and we all need a break sometimes!
This travel cot is available from most baby retailers for around £39.99.
I hope this reveiw is of some use to all you mum and dads out there.
Thanx for reading.x
Summary: Well worth getting!

- 09/04/06 As I'm single and 27 yrs old I won't be needing one of these for myself. Good review. |

- 09/04/06 I used mine as a play pen too, usually to keep the babies out of harms way while I was cooking. :O) |
