A good value rug which warms the room up

It doesn't matter where you go in house, there seems to be a selection of Laurens toys in every corner. I have tried to give some away but every time I sort a pile out, she discovers it and acts like these were her favourite toys and starts to play with them again- constantly.

Last year, we decided to make the conservatory as Laurens play room, however we have laminate floor in that room and I was conscious that during the colder months, even with the heating on, it can feel a little old in there so I decided to buy a rug.

I spotted this on the Argos website and thought I looked quite nice, pretty and it was reasonably priced. It currently retails for around £14.99, at the time I purchased, I had a £5 off voucher so I managed to get for less than £10 which made it even better value for money!

It is available from Argos only, either for home delivery (delivery charge varies from £5.95 to £9.95 depending upon the service you choose) or you can buy from store. What I like most about Argos is that you can check and reserve stock on line and collect before the shop closes the following day so you don't end up having a wasted journey.

The rug measures 150cm x 80cm so covers quite a good area, it has a hopscotch drawing on it, numbered one to eight, inside each square is the number and two pictures. The pictures are flowers, hearts or birds, these are also pictured around the outside of the hopscotch grid

One of the good points of the rug is that it is rubber backed which means I didn't have to worry about it slipping or moving about on the laminate floor.

I am really impressed with this rug; we have had it for around a year now and still looks like new. As well as keep making the room a little warmer, it adds that little bit of colour whilst also doubling up as a toy.

These last few months, my daughter has started to 'get the hang of' hopscotch (mainly the hopping part) and now happily plays it, she has even got her dad involved!!!!

The only downside is that is it 100% nylon and the pile is quite short, but then again, you get what you pay for and I cannot really moan when it was so cheap. I do think the pile being so short is one of the reasons the product has worn so well, we have brought rugs in the past with a long pile and after being walked on a few times, the pie starts to go flat and look old.

I would give the rug 5 out of 5 stars and recommend!

      Thanks for reading
