      Very sturdy little chairs fit for a mini king or queen

      These chairs are the perfect addition to any home with children. They are bright and colourful and alot stronger than they look. They come in a variety of different colours suitable for boys, girls, or even unisex and they also have matching tables in the same range that are either rectangluar shaped or round. They have that kind of 'king or queen' effect to them because they look like the kind of chairs the 'birthday boy or girl' will use at a birthday party in a play centre. Or so my daughter thinks anyway.

      Anyway. My children use these along with the matching table to eat their meals. We also use them for craft activitys too. They are so easy to put together and they do come with instructions too. They are also super easy to clean which is something that every parent looks for. I sometimes use these to stand on if I cannot reach something out of my kitchen cupboards, so this is proof of how sturdy they are, I'm not exactly a light weight :-) They have been flung around, painted on, stood on and probably used as a weapon by one of my children but they are still in the most perfect of conditions.

      The only bad thing I find with these is that you cannot fit 2 chairs under the rectangle table side by side, they need to be opposite, which isnt a problem when you only have 2 children, although it does cause arguments about who faces the TV :-)

      Good chair

      This chair is a good colour for either a boy or a girl because it is not really a gender specific colour and does look nice in any room as it brightens it up.

      The chair is incredibly sturdy and will easily hold the weight of any child even if they are obese or just large from muscle. The chair can take a beating and is rather light which makes it easily lifted and moved around a room.

      This chair is a good size for any kid and should be able to let any kid sit comfortably in it no matter their size. The chair has a smooth finish with no jagged edges which makes it perfect for anyone to sit in and there is no fear of anyone hurting themselves.

      The only problem I can see with this chair is that the colour does not really fit in with any other furniture in a room along with the fact that it is plastic which is a large problem if everything else in your house is wood based.

      Great bright practical chair at a decent price

      I bought this chair on a whim while on a trip to ikea. I saw a display table and chairs set which caught my eye and I just fell in love with this chair. It has a quirky cartoonish look about it and I bought it as I knew it would look perfect in my daughters room.

      Price wise I'd say this chair is middle of the road. It cost me £13 which I think is pretty good value considering it's look and durability. The chair Is 67 cm high so perfect for toddlers and 39cm wide so has a nice chunky look and feel about it. The chair was a available in 3 colours - blue, dark pink and dark green- and I went for the dark pink one to match the decor of m daughters bedroom.

      I've had this chair for 4 months now and overall I am very happy with it. It is very lightweight despite its chunky look so is easy for my toddler to move around herself. Unfortunately this is also a but if a drawback as when she inevitably climbs on it I has a tendency to topple back quite easily. The chair is made of plastic so is extremely easy to wipe down and use and as a result it still looks as food as new. I am very pleased with this chair and my only criticism would be that I wish it was slightly heavier and had a sturdier feel about it.

      Cute little chairs

      I brought the table and two of these chairs at the same time. I bought a pink and a blue chair. There is also a green chair available. The chairs cost me £13 each.

      The chairs are designed to have a 'cartoon' look to them, I have seen them in my daughters nursery as well as at my dentist so they appear to be very popular.

      The chair is easy to put together, the pieces pop together and it took me about five minutes to assemble each chair.

      The measurements of the chairs are;
      Width 39 cm
      Height 67cm
      Seat depth 26cm
      Seat height 30cm

      The chair weights 2.1kg.

      The chairs are made from a sturdy plastic which wipes clean easily and stays looking bright and colourful.

      The chairs weighed less than I expected this means that my daughter can move it around to reposition it herself. My daughter started using these chairs when she was 1 and she had no problems in getting on and off herself. The legs of the chair are thicker at the bottom making them in my opinion stable little chairs.

      There isn't any maximum load for the chair I have sat on it and I find them quite comfy.

      I was a little worried about the negative reviews I had read about the legs falling off but I can safely say that this hasn't happened to us.

      These chairs are so cheap my nan has even bought a couple for her house.

      I would recommend these chairs they are really nice with the table are easy to clean and as they are plastic they can be used indoors of outdoors.

      Easy to clean and robust children's chairs.

      Ikea Mammut children's chair

      I first came across these brightly coloured chairs and matching tables in the room where the local Alliance Francaise has fun French classes for children under six. Millie was not yet 18 months old, but she already new the concept of a classroom from watching The Fresh Beat Band. (Side note - yes I am a slummy Mummy!) She loved sitting on these chairs with the other children as they played puzzles and games while learning a new language.

      Fast forward several months, and I found myself looking for a floor rug in Ikea first thing one Sunday morning. Yes, it would seem I am a sucker for stressful situations. Anyway, the Ikea layout herded me along and at some stage I ended up in the children's furniture section where I spied these chairs along with the matching table.

      I knew that at some stage we'd probably buy a children's table and chair set for our daughter, and realised that the perfect opportunity had presented itself.

      The chairs come in several colours. The options when we bought ours were pink (our choice), blue and lime green. Made from easy-to-clean polypropylene plastic, the Ikea website lists the assembled size to be:

      Width: 39 cm x Height: 67 cm x Seat depth: 26 cm x Seat height: 30 cm Weight: 2.1 kg

      The assembly of these chairs was left to my husband. (Not because I am lazy, but simply because I can be very impatient and his personality is much better suited to such activities.) He tells me that this was easy to do, and that unlike other Ikea flatpack products, there were no random pieces or screws left over at the end. Of course this would be because there were no such things required to assemble these chairs.

      Millie and her friends use the chairs inside and outside, and with and without the matching table. The chairs are lightweight enough for the children to move them, but sturdy enough to not fall over in use. They have had paint, crayon and pen scribbled on them, all of which have come off fairly easily.

      ~~~ My thoughts ~~~
      These chairs are good value for money. They are obviously designed for a specific age group. Therefore if you are particularly thrifty you might wish to consider obtaining this chair on ebay.co.uk. As I write this review there are several currently at 99p. I'd prefer the chairs to be available in more and different colours. Four stars from me.
        Disadvantages
        A fab little chair with great colours and design but a tad flimsy
        I am a big fan of IKEA and long before I even had children I admired these little chairs so i knew I had to have a set for my daughter!
        I love the almost cartoon like design of them and the bright colours are instantly appealing. Over the years the colours available seem to change but at the moment you can buy bright blue, deep pink or a funny sort of green colour. we have pink, blue and red, and a pale pink table.
        The IKEA website states the chair is 67cm tall in total with a seat height of 30 cm and it is perfect for my 2 year old. She has had the set for about 6 months and has always been able to climb up easily onto the chair and it fits nicely under the table with plenty of growing room.
        The chairs are made of lightweight plastic and so they are easy to move around, even for a 2 year old. She likes to move the chairs round and set her toys up on them, etc, etc. The downside is that they are unfortunately not very sturdy. My daughter is quite boisterous and likes to sit up on her knees, leaning on the back support, often holding onto the back and rocking the seat back and forth. I can see the back support physically leaning with her weight on it and we have had to tell her off enough times about doing it as I am waiting for the chair to snap! Also, the chair has toppled over a few times as she has been trying to climb on.
        However, being made of plastic makes the chair incredibly easy to clean - just wipe and you're done. Essential for products used by children for eating, painting, playdough play, colouring...life in general!
        At around £13 for a chair and £20 for a table, it is quite expensive for what it is. However, I got my set off eBay second hand for an absolute steal so well worth checking there and your local newspaper. As it is second hand, it was still in great condition having been used for a number of years by two children and several friends have had the sets for upwards of 10 years and still growing strong, so I can't agree with other reviewers who do not recommend it.
        Advantages
        Disadvantages
        We both love it
        We bought two of these chairs from Ikea three years ago and it is still very much in use now and a great purchase. Millie loves it and her friends do too when they come to stay. We haven't had any problems with either of them and think they are great!
        === Buying the chair ===
        We chose these from Ikea when we had gone to the store to buy something completely different- isn't that always the way?! I saw them and thought what a good idea they were and we hadn't got a chair for Millie except her hair high so this seemed like a good buy seeing as she was beginning to out grow her highchair. You could buy them in a variety of colours all nice and bright and bold we bought two pink, I did want to get one pink and one purple but Millie decided just pink would do! They came flat pack and we had to pick them up from the warehouse department. Luckily they were light and because they were flat pack they were easy enough to carry which was good as we had various other items and Millie's pushchair too!
        === Using the chair ===
        Before you can use the chair you obviously need to set it up. It is easy to do we didn't even need to follow the instructions. There are four, sturdy legs which you pop into the bottom of the seat and there is a back rest which pops into the top of the seat and then they're in and it's secure. Now we have had one moment when a leg came out about a year ago but luckily Millie noticed before sitting on it so she didn't topple off but that is the only time it has come out. We have made sure they are very well pushed in so that no accidents occur. Having read some other reviews it seems like this may be an issue some people have with this chair.
        Although it's not heavy it certainly is not as light or as flimsy as some of the other children's chairs we have seen. Some of Millie's friends have very flimsy plastic chairs which move when you go backwards to sit on them they are so light. I think a very light chair is quite dangerous really as if they sit on the edge of the seat there is a danger it could tip up. Millie sits on the edge of this all of the time and it has never once even looked like it was going to tip up and I think that is something to do with it being a bit more heavy but also because the legs are large. I would say they are about 10cm in diameter so that is a good surface area for them to cover which makes it safe.
        If you use the chair incorrectly then yes I suppose things could go wrong. Millie has stood up on this and pushed on the back rest so much when she was messing around that the chair fell backwards with her on it. This could happen with any chair and is all about children learning what they can and can't do and about parents supervising so I cannot fault the chair for this and it did take a lot of her force to get it to fall. I blame myself more for letting her be daft whilst standing on a chair!
        Now these chairs are a very good height, I would say about 30cm off the ground so that they are not too low down which your child would out grow very soon instead they are a decent height making it still possible now for Millie to sit on it without it looking like it's too small for her. I think she could quite happily use this until she is about 8 and maybe then it would begin to look too small. When Millie was two we first bought these and she was just about able to climb up onto it and sit down and so really it's good to think it is a practical size for varying ages really. Some of the other chairs we have seen look too small for her now so wouldn't have lasted.
        === Millie thinks ===
        Millie loves using her chair. She sometimes uses it to sit at her little table and draw and paint or play or she will bring it into the kitchen and have her dinner sitting on it but she will also move it away from the table and use it to watch the television with, preferring to sit on that rather than a settee! Part of me doesn't really see why as it's only made from plastic so isn't the most comfortable of chairs but I think she likes it because it helps her to feel independent, that she has her own chair and own space and she chose it in a colour of her choice. When Millie's friends come round for tea they both sit at the table with these chairs and because they are the same colour there is no falling out. Millie sometimes uses these chairs to make a den out of them too, she will put a blanket over the top of them both and hide in the space underneath it. It takes me back to when I was little and I used to do the same!
        === Mummy thinks ===
        I think these are great chairs. Millie has drawn all over one and we haven't been able to quite get the crayon off but with lots of scrubbing it has faded but all other bits she has spilt or painted on we have been able to get off no problem. She has even had it in the garden sometimes when it was sunny enough to eat outside and we were able to wash any dirt off and bring it back inside. I like how it has lasted her so long and I can see it lasting us another few years yet. It was easy to put together and as I said it's only come apart once and since we've really pushed the legs in as hard as possible it hasn't happened again. You can buy a matching table too but we didn't we chose one from a different range but that this chair fits round quite nicely. I think it is more robust than any other plastic child's chair we have seen and I really like it. It was a very good purchase.
          Advantages
          Disadvantages
          5 stars
          We look after our grandchildren for four days a week. We look after them all day so we need somewhere practical for them to sit. We bought these from Ikea for £12 along with a table that matched and they are just perfect.
          They come 'flat pack' but it takes about 2 minutes to put them together and they have stayed together, they haven't once fallen apart and we have had them for three years now.
          They are made from plastic and are quite light weight but nowhere near as light as some of the other children's chairs we've seen. Because they are light weight you have to be careful if your children stand up on them as they could topple over but they are sturdy enough to be sat on and messed about with. We did have a cheap chair that was only £5 but this was so flimsy even if my grandson sat on the edge of the chair it would begin to tip up. You don't get that with these chairs.
          They are very robust too, they've been knocked about a lot, we've had them outside, we've had them drawn on and they've withstood it all. We can wipe them down after use as they're all plastic. They are a good height, my grandson who is just under two can manage to get on by himself and my granddaughter who is 6 still sits on these quite happily so they are the kind of chairs that will last a while.
          I like that they are wipe clean so we can have them in the garden when it's sunny and it makes them very practical for if food gets spilt on them.
          We have these in pink and blue but you can buy other colours too and various coloured tables to match. I highly recommend.
            A good priced chair and recommended
            When Lauren was about 18 months old, we decided to get her a little table and chairs set, having looked online, there was some beautiful sets around however they we very expensive and I was looking for something on a budget and something I wouldn't be too concerned if it got paint or felt tips on. We decided to have a ride to Ikea to see if they had anything which is where I spotted the Mammut chairs.
            Mammut have a whole range of children's bedroom furniture including chairs, tables, wardrobes, chest of drawers, bed frames and shelves.
            All are available in a variety of colours: blue, green, red and pink.
            The price of the chairs is currently £12.99 from Ikea, I think I paid around £10 at the time and they are currently available on EBay for around £17 plus postage. You can purchase online or in store, what I like about Ikea is that you can check stock availability online so if like me, you don't live particularly close to Ikea, you know you wont have a wasted journey.
            The chairs all come in one size as follows:
            Width: 39 cm
            Height: 67 cm
            Seat depth: 26 cm
            Seat height: 30 cm
            Assembly was really easy, the chairs come in 6 different parts, the seat, the back and the four legs. I am not normally one for building furniture but it was really easy to do, it was just a case of slotting them altogether.
            The chairs have been a really good buy for us, they are now coming up to 3 years old and still look like new. We choose the red one and despite being cleaned on a daily basis, its still quite bright in colour and hasn't faded at all.
            Because the chair is made of plastic, it quite sturdy and very easy to wipe clean.
            Although I cannot say myself that they are comfy, Lauren sits on hers everyday and sometimes for long periods of times, especially if we are doing 'arty' stuff.
            I would give the chair 4 out of 5, although it does everything I need and wanted it so, its not that aesthetically pleasing.
            Advantages
            Disadvantages
            Very good design for children
            Little people need little things and ergonomically the Ikea Mammut chairs along with the Ikea Mammut table are perfect for children.  Aesthetically they are not that in keeping with my kitchen and rather ruin my decor "look", they would look a lot better if I kept them in my Children's rooms but unfortunately this is not that practical for supervision purposes.
            Our Mammut chairs are a light blue colour, although they do also come in pink and green.  All three colours are rather bright and "in your face".   The chairs are 67cm in total height and 30cm high to the seats, which means they fit well under the table top which is 48cm in height.   The seat depth is 26cm and width is  39cm and the chairs have a sturdy back for children to lean against.  The chairs are a good size for children from the age of 1 - 6ish and work well for my five year old daughter and two year old son.
            The chairs are made of polypropylene plastic which means they are very easy to clean.  Most of the time I use an antibacterial spray and cloth to wipe them clean.  Occasionally if the chairs get a bit more messy with wax crayon or paint and them I clean with a damp cloth and Jif.
            As with all Ikea stuff the chairs came flat packed in six pieces - four legs, one seat and one chair back, plus four special screws and four caps for the bottom of the legs of the table.  I think the back of the chair clicks into the seat and no screws are required there.  My husband put each chair up in about 10 minutes and were easy to do, one doesn't really need the instructions especially if you are used to dealing with flat-pack things.
            The chairs are very light in weight, approx. 2.2kg, my children can easy lift the chairs up and move them around.  They are very durable and thus far have shown no sign of wear.  Currently the Mammut chairs can be purchased from Ikea for £13, we have two and considering the use we have had from them, combined with the table have been well worth the money.  I am also considering getting a third chair for when my children's friends come around.
              Advantages
              Disadvantages
              A nice children's chair, great as a set or on it's own.
              Anyone who has read my Mammut table review will know the reason I purchased the Mammut table and chairs was that my 2 year old son fell off an adult sized chair over Easter and nearly went through the big glass door in my living room and I decided to purchase a table and chairs that would be better suited to his size.
              I bought two chairs at the same time as buying the table, the chairs cost me 10 pounds each and the table just under 25. So the entire set cost me just under forty five pounds. This compared to other children's table and chair sets I've seen seems to be a mid range price. The Ikea Mammut range also includes stools that could be used with the table (and were a fair bit cheaper) but they looked a little less sturdy and also were not available in colors that matched those of the table so would have to be mix and match colors.
              The chairs came flat-packed, it is Ikea after all, but required very minimal assembly, it all slots together, although was definitely a two person job as one person needs to push one way with the seat while the other pushes in the opposite direction with the legs as they are quite a tight fit.
              The chair is a nice shade of blue and the design although chunky is not so kiddie that it looks odd in my living room. It's very sturdy, I have read reviews where people have had the chair legs have fall off, I'm not sure that this is a product wide fault as I have not had this happen with either or the chairs I own. I would recommend checking them once assembled though just to make sure they are very stable and the legs aren't going to fall off on your particular chair as it could be quite dangerous if it were to happen while in use!
              Like the table they are made entirely of plastic this makes them particularly durable and also fantastically easy to clean. They can simply be wiped over with a damp cloth and some soapy water. I have also used my mini steamer on one of the chairs when my son spilled something sticky into the groves where the backrest fits, with great results.
              I would recommend this chair, it makes a great addition to any nursery or playroom as a set with the Mammut table or just on its own. My nephew who is only just 1 can sit on it fine (though his feet don't touch the floor) as can my tall 2 and a half year old so it will last a long time and not be quickly outgrown.
              Advantages
              Disadvantages
              Little chairs for little people
              As we don't have children of our own yet, I do tend to spoil our little nephew. I've just recently bought two of these Ikea Mammut chairs and the matching Mammut table for him to sit at and use when he stays over with us.
              My husband did initially think that they would be a waste of money, but he has changed his mind since he's seen how often these get used.
              The Mammut chairs come in 3 different colours; dark pink, dark green and blue. We bought two blue chairs. The chairs are just £12.99 each.
              They do require some self assembly, but they only take around 10 minutes to put together. You literally just have to attach the chair legs to the seat, and then the chair back to the seat, you only need a hammer to knock the chair legs in securely, the chair back just clicks in.
              The Mammut range is made of bright colourful pastic, and is perfect for children. It is really eye catching and kind of cartoon like, but it is also really durable. It is also easy to clean, you just need to wipe it over with a damp cloth. It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, at the moment we have only used it indoors as it's the winter, but I'm sure that it will also get lots of use outdoors come the summer time.
              The chairs are fairly lightweight and so are easy for a child to move and carry around. He will sometimes sit at he table and draw or make things, build things with lego etc. Sometimes he will move the chairs all over the house sitting down in various spots and rooms for a bit! Not sure why, he's a toddler!
              The chairs are really stable and sturdy and do stand up to adults sitting on them as well, one of us will sometimes sit with him and help him build things or make things at the table. My husband looks hilarious sat on the tiny chair as he is over 6 ft tall, his knees are up around his ears, haha!
              Overall I actually love these, they get a lot of use, they seem to be brilliant quality for the money, and they look really funky. More importantly I guess our little nephew loves having his own little table and chairs at our house.
                Advantages
                Disadvantages
                A fantastic chair from Ikea.
                === The product ===
                This is a chunky plastic chair available from Ikea. There is a fairly large selection of furniture that is available in three colours and is designed to fit in with the other nursery, playroom or living room style furniture available in the 'Mammut' range. This chair is 39 cm wide x 67cm high. The seat has a depth of 26cm and a height of 30cm making it ideal for little legs and little people.
                === How to build ===
                The chair is very simple to build and just slots together, it takes just a moment to either put this together or dismantle it. I tend to leave mine built and just put it in one of my storage cupboards in the hall so I can just take it out whenever my niece comes to visit. It's very simple to build and the pieces are chunky, fit together well and generally make for a very sturdy chair.
                === Does this work well? ===
                Yes, it does. The chair is more suitable to a child of a few years, maybe 3+ but as my niece is a tall 2 year old she manages to sit on this with her feet just hanging off from the ground. This isn't really an issue though as she likes climbing and this is sturdy enough for her to pull herself up on it without it tipping over. Obviously she is a child and therefore she is going to muck around on this chair from time to time tipping herself back and forward and while I generally discourage her from doing this it is not always possible to stop her the first time she tries to do it. She has come off this chair twice now because of her own childish playing and both times she has had a little cry at the shock but has not actually hurt herself like she would if she fell from a larger wooden or metal chair. The chair is sturdy enough to withstand these knocks and I'm able to just pick her and the chair back up and stand them back up with no damage being sustained at all.
                === Where can I buy this & for how much? ===
                This is available from Ikea stores for £12.99. This is available in light blue, light green & light pink and coordinates with the tables and other furniture available in the 'Mammut' range. This is available to view on the Ikea website but cannot actually be purchased online.
                === Overall opinion ===
                This is a wonderful little chair. It suits the table that my sister also gave me and my niece is very pleased with this when she comes round. We actually own two of these and they are easy enough to slot together to put in to the cupboard along with the table which I just roll in. I love the chunky design of this chair, the legs make the chair nice and sturdy and the chunky plastic is hard wearing and easy to keep clean. If my niece has an accident or makes some mess on this chair I am just able to give it a wipe over with a sponge and an anti-bacterial spray which is fantastic as I can keep it free of germs and ensure that it's looking nice at all times.
                My niece loves her table and chairs and if other nieces & nephews come over there is plenty of room for them to play together. We have older nieces and nephews who have sat on these chairs on numerous occasions and while they tend to look quite funny folded in half almost sitting on these smaller chairs the children seem to have great fun using them and this is why they are worthy of 5/5 from me!
                  Advantages
                  Disadvantages
                  Excellent first chair for any toddler
                  As my daughter was getting a bit older (18 months) and i really wanted to get a table and chairs she could sit at and draw etc, and that could also be used indoors and out.
                  I have always liked the look of these chairs they come in a range of nice bright colours and the design is funky and modern a bit different to everything else on the market.
                  We had a look at them in ikea and they seemed to be of a good quality and fairly cheap about £10 each (we got 2). I like the fact you can see everything and try it out before you buy it in ikea, you know from the start what your gonna get.
                  They came in a flat pack box and needed to be assembled at home (like everything else from ikea). This didn't take very long i think they were both made within about 10 minutes.
                  They are very sturdy and durable. They also wipe clean very well (my daughter likes to draw on everything not just the paper). She also likes to climb and stand on them (i dont like her doing this) as she has knocked them over a few times. She gets a bit of a shock but the chairs are fine.
                  As they are made of plastic they are also perfect for painting or picnics in the garden. We have accidently forgot to bring them in some nights and they have been exposed to the elements. So far they are keeping their colour and look as good as new.
                  For the price tag and a bit of modern design i think they are very reasonable and versatile in there use and would reccomend them.
                  Advantages
                  Disadvantages
                  just be careful and you'll be fine!
                  When we moved into our new house we had more space and one of the first things we wanted to buy was a little table and chairs set for Hope who was 18 months old at the time. Everything for young children seems to be so expensive but with having just moved house we didn't have much money to spend so when we saw this in Ikea for £8 we thought that it was a bit of a bargain.
                  **********Obviously it's flat pack!************
                  Ikea, being Ikea, couldn't just let us have this chair already made, oh no, it came as a flat pack! We had to find it in the warehouse and then take it home to be assembled. Luckily, it was very easy to do- it does come with instructions but we didn't need to look at them as it was very obvious what went where. The legs and the back of the chair are separate and they just need slotting into the holes. This was straight forward although we did need to apply quite a bit of force to get one of the legs in. You can see when they are in place as there is a shiny section at the top of the legs, all of this section has to be inside the chair base so you can see if any of it is sticking out still that you need to push it further up.
                  The look
                  This chair is a very chunky looking chair. It comes in a variety of colours and we bought ours in bright pink which is rather dazzling but it fits in fine with Hope's items! The chair has big thick chunky legs which get wider as they go down. This makes it quite sturdy and stable. Toddlers are always jumping on and off their chairs so you need something which isn't likely to topple over as they do so. The back has three back supports and then the chunky rest at the top of these which is slightly curved to support their backs. The seat itself is the same plastic as the rest of the chair and is a nice size for little bums, it's not too narrow so there is plenty of space for them to sit down.
                  *********Practicalities**********
                  This chair is very light which is both a good thing and a bad thing. Because it is light you can easily move it and put it where you like and also your toddler can move it around too. Hope likes to position this by her table herself and feel indepepdent. I think if she always needed me to move it she would get quite frustrated. Because it's light when Hope is sitting on it and I need to move her closer to her table it is still quite easy to do this, if it was any heavier then I think I would struggle to lift it! It's lightness, however, does mean that if your child is messing around on the chair- which let's face it a lot of toddlers tend to do- that it can fall over quite easily. If won't stay upright if your child stands up on it and leans against the back, nor will it if your child uses it to jump off so you do have to be careful and keep an eye on what your children are doing.
                  In terms of height off the ground i think that this is very well designed. Hope wasn't quite able to get herself onto this until she was just turned two although she is small for her age so I imagine most 18 month year olds will be able to get up on this themselves. When Hope sits on this it isn't too big or too small, her legs don't touch the floor yet but they are not so far up that she struggles to get down. It is a good height as children will be able to use it for several years before finding it too small.
                  ****************Conclusion***************
                  I know that some people have criticised this chair saying that it isn't safe because it falls over but I think you can find any child's item unsafe and it is up to you as a parent to ensure that you keep an eye on what your child is doing and to teach them about the potential dangers they can face if they do not treat their items as they should be. Hope has fallen off this chair a couple of times when she has managed to topple it over by messing around on it and she hasn't come to any harm, it has just taught her some important life lessons and after a fall or two she has learnt to sit on it properly and that messing around can cause problems.
                  The chair stays together well. I noticed after about 5 months one of the legs of the chair looked as though it was starting to make it's way out again so you should keep an eye on this and if you notice it starting to come out you need to wedge them back in again so as to prevent any accidents happening.
                  I like the look of the chair. I like it's chunky appearance and how this makes it look really child friendly. I have perched on this a couple of times and think it's quite comfortable actually even though it is all plastic and no cushion or anything. There is no reason why you can't put a cushion on it though if you feel like your child needs a bit more comfort.
                  Because this chair is just plastic it means that it is easy to clean which is lucky considering the amount of spillages that have occured on this chair! It is all very easy to clean with no small areas at all so just hot, soapy water has been enough to keep this looking almost as good as new.
                  Hope seems to like the chair, she likes having her own little seat and that she can get upon it herself without relying on others to lift her on and I like the fact she is able to do it herself so I don't have to keep assisting her.
                  The chair is available in several other bright colours and you can get tables to match too. I think for under £10 this is a bargain. It has been abused a bit by being scribbled on and had stickers stuck to it but for the price we paid I can afford not to be too concerned about this! I imagine that Hope will be using this chair for several years so it will be well worth the money we paid! I do recommend this to you if you have a litle one.
