Advantages: durable, sturdy, cheap

Disadvantages: none

As we don't have children of our own yet, I do tend to spoil our little nephew. I've just recently bought two of these Ikea Mammut chairs and the matching Mammut table for him to sit at and use when he stays over with us.
My husband did initially think that they would be a waste of money, but he has changed his mind since he's seen how often these get used.

The Mammut chairs come in 3 different colours; dark pink, dark green and blue. We bought two blue chairs. The chairs are just £12.99 each.
They do require some self assembly, but they only take around 10 minutes to put together. You literally just have to attach the chair legs to the seat, and then the chair back to the seat, you only need a hammer to knock the chair legs in securely, the chair back just clicks in.

The Mammut range is made of bright colourful pastic, and is perfect for children. It is really eye catching and kind of cartoon like, but it is also really durable. It is also easy to clean, you just need to wipe it over with a damp cloth. It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, at the moment we have only used it indoors as it's the winter, but I'm sure that it will also get lots of use outdoors come the summer time.

The chairs are fairly lightweight and so are easy for a child to move and carry around. He will sometimes sit at he table and draw or make things, build things with lego etc. Sometimes he will move the chairs all over the house sitting down in various spots and rooms for a bit! Not sure why, he's a toddler!

The chairs are really stable and sturdy and do stand up to adults sitting on them as well, one of us will sometimes sit with him and help him build things or make things at the table. My husband looks hilarious sat on the tiny chair as he is over 6 ft tall, his knees are up around his ears, haha!

Overall I actually love these, they get a lot of use, they seem to be brilliant quality for the money, and they look really funky. More importantly I guess our little nephew loves having his own little table and chairs at our house.
