When I first went to Ikea, it confused me, annoyed me and basically just gave me a headache. Ikea in many ways is like Marmite you either love it or hate it. You could also say though that Ikea is an acquired taste, after a few visits it may start to grow on you. That is the case with me, over the years I have been several times and now ... When I was pregnant with my daughter, we wanted a rocking chair for her nursery for those night-time feeds! When we went to Ikea on one of our many trips, I took a rest on a Poang and I loved it! The Poang comes in 2 sizes - child size or adult. Both are identical apart from size. There are a few colours to choose from but ... Read the complete review

There has never been a time when I've actually enjoyed spending my Sunday morning building flat pack furniture from the Swedish furniture giant Ikea, but this was one of the few things that was easy enough to build and live with. The box has all the bits you need plus a couple extra screws so it's hassle free building if you loose or ... Read the complete review

I quite look the look of these chairs and that you can put different covers on and yes, they are comfortable...until all of a sudden one of the screws cracks and throws you on the floor backwards. This happened a months ago with a chair that I had bought second-hand, so I put it down to possible overuse or too much weight being out on it ... Read the complete review

This armchair was one of the things I bought in my huge pre-baby purchase from Ikea while furnishing our flat. I had very definite ideas of what I wanted in the living area but seeing the furniture displayed in Ikea changed my mind and I ended up getting a Klippan sofa and a Poang armchair to match for the living ... We bought one of these a few years back for use in our children's bedroom - it was meant to be used as a comfy chair for feeding time. It was really useful, it was indeed comfortable, and it was light enough to be moved around easily. When it had outlived its use as a feeding chair, it was moved to the living room where it ... we have had 2 poangs for some time, recently one collapsed under my husband , throwing him backwards out of it and fracturing the frame. This was due to the bolt shearing without warning. IKEA Warrington showed no interest or concern. So if your chair is out of guarantee - chuck it ( like the chintz). Consideration of IKEA's stance on customer care and safety issues may also be salutory

When we moved house last year, we moved into a much bigger house and had much more space. Our house has been converted so what used to be the kitchen is now a second living room which we knew straight away would be perfect for the children. We had a sofa that would fit in the room but were lacking something suitable for the kids, so when ... Read the complete review

We have two of these chairs which we bought when we were between houses and renting an unfurnished flat. Our sofas were still in our old house and we wanted some comfy chairs that were relatively cheap, just to tide us over until we sold and found a new house to buy. We had been using garden chairs as a temporary measure, but these ... Read the complete review

When I was a student, everyone had these chairs from Ikea. They are affordable, and quite distinctive. In my twenties, it seemed everyone had one in their house, but I'd never actually owned one myself until recently when my in-laws were having a clearout and kindly donated their chair to us. The chair currently retails at £28 ... Read the complete review

This Poang chair comes in variety of different wood effect colours and the fabric on the seat is available in, white, natural, black, brown, red, blue, and black & white. This means that there are enough options to suit any kind of interior. I have beige version of this chair and I find it very comfortable. It is the most ... Read the complete review

Ikea - the best thing to come out of Europe! - Ok maybe I exaggerate slightly, but I do love the store, and many of the products they sell, and over the years a fair few Ikea items have made their way into our house. One such item is the wonderful Poang Chair. So... what the *&$*!**? is a Poang chair I hear you ... Read the complete review

I got this chair when I first moved out of my parents house into my own flat. I had a small sofa but fancied a chair as well. As a lover of Ikea things anyway this is always the first place I go....any excuse me! The chair comes in a big box which is very heavy for a 5ft girl like me but with a trolley it is ... My husband and I are in the process of revamping the nursery for a new arrival expected in July and we bought a Poang chair and footstool from Ikea to use in there. We had seen these chairs every time we'd gone to Ikea and had a sit in them and boy are they comfy! They are not really a rocking chair but they 'bounce' when you rock back ... A few years ago we were looking for furniture for a flat in Lithuania. In one shop we saw some strange armchairs-chairs but they were so comfortable. Anyway we didn't buy them because of high price but kept on thinking to buy something like that some day. When we first went to Ikea here in NI and saw plenty of those armchairs - POANGS, ... Like with everything in Ikea this was very reasonably priced, and still manages to look stylish in any home. This chair came flat pack but like with most ikea products was very easy to assemble with the easy to read instruction guide. This meant that I had built the chair in under 15 minutes and could then use it. ... Read the complete review

I wish I loved this chair. My 3 year old has tipped it over too many times for me to be comfortable with him using it without some adult supervision. When you sit in it, you must sit all the way to the back or you end up on the floor with a chair on your back. Once he went head first into the coffee table, and another time he wedged ... I bought this chair for my 13 month old son. We wanted something that he felt a bit more grown up in and had freedom to get in and out of. I struggled to find anywhere locally where I could find anyother other than an inflatable chair, something I felt to be a little unstable for him. The chair was chosen over a rocking chair ...
