This rug matches the rest of the Camelot range; which includes everything from wall coverings to lighting. The 101cm x 76cm. (30 x 40 inch) rug is manufactured using the coil pile feature, the same type of design used for busy areas due to its hard wearing structure. The rug is made in 100% Acrylic.
Advantages: Acrylic is a manmade fibre, similar in feel & appearance to wool, but far less expensive. Apologies for stating the obvious! Pretty stain resistant, easy to dye, resistant to mold and mildew & fast drying.
Disadvantages: The fundamental complaint about acrylic is that carpets & rugs made from this fibre tends to wear out quickly. But as this Kidsline Camelot Rug is a designer product particularly produced for selected areas such as a child's nursery, this drawback shouldn't be a problem. Please note that the coil pile feature procures the extra durability required.
Unfortunately, I am unable to afford the full range of this design but as a little taste of luxury, this product co-ordinates wonderfully with an array of soft subtle colours in our décor, with its delicate shades of lilac, cream & pinks. With interlaces of embroidery that accentuates the castles etc., this rug encompasses a fairytale theme. The rug was purchased to adorn the nursery of my grand-daughter when she was first born. It gave the nursery a particularly pretty feature as it rest beside the moses basket and later, by the cot.
The standard price for this oblong rug is around £24+ but I generally use a search engine to obtain such products at a much lower price. This at the more affordable price of £15!
With a lovely edge binding finish, complete with the practical feature of non-skid backing this chunky rug places well over tiles, natural flooring & carpets. The rug remained in place despite regular usage in the nursery.
The rug comes up beautifully on a cold wash in the washing machine. Although, the rug only ever needed a couple of machine washes due to the lack of marks. Any superficial stains were cleaned by simply using baby wipes and sometimes, a moistened cloth. The rug retained its beautiful colourings throughout the time my daughter kept it.
I would definitely recommend this rug as a beautiful luxury item for small rooms to add as a feature item.
The magical and luxurious Camelot collection is a treat for the imagination. Crafted in soft pinks, lilacs and creams, the gold and silver embroidery threads accent the castles and unicorn applique and embroidered motifs. A perfect way to set the stage fo
