Little tikes rainbow chairs are fantastic quality just like there toys.
I needed two small chairs for Hannah and Jess for their reading corner as we do not have much room or anywhere for them to sit but don't want books scattered all over the house so we had a small corner with a few book shelf's.
I was originally going to use bean bags but feel the girls would be better off on proper chairs.
Little tike rainbow chairs cost from £9.99 depending on where you buy them.
I bought our two yellow chairs from toys r us, these are ready built and do not come flat packed as they have clearly been moulded even the legs.
They have a choice of colours blue, green, red and yellow.
Like the little tikes toys they are made from the same strong sturdy plastic.
The chairs have backs on them making it more comfortable for small children whilst having them sit in the correct position to help posture and no slouching.
The seat and legs are very chunky , they can not be swung on or tipped over.
As they are made from plastic a wet soapy cloth takes any dirt or stains off.
rainbow chairs are perfect height for little children and super comfy, my girls sit no problem on them for two or three story's in a row.
I often i move them for hovering and very light to pick up move around, my girls also move them around.
Fantastic great quality as you would expect from little tikes, recommended.
After my daughter turned two she really started to get into her colouring and loved not being in the highchair anymore but I find it awkward sitting her up on the high kitchen chairs and I wanted to buy her her own set of kiddie chairs and bought these Little Tikes Rainbow Chairs.
I bought them for 40 euro for all three in a local toy shop. They are made for kids from 2 to 6 years and are the perfect height for them to jump up onto comfortably.
Little Tikes is a well known reputable brand and their products never fail to satisfy. These chairs included. They come as a pair of 3 which was perfect for my only daughter.
They are made from hard plastic but are still comfortable to sit on and they claim to support posture. Im not sure how true this statement is but my daughter hasnt become a hunchback anyways! They are more importantly very easy to wipe clean. Crucial with toddlers!
My daughter has used these while painting though and I found the Crayola kids finger paint stained her yellow seat a little but nothing too bad, Just a note of warning. They will suffer the usual wear and tear a few scratches here and there. We use these on our wooden floors and they dont scratch the wood which is a bonus.
My daughter can easily lift these at two and move them into place where she wants. Another bonus as she isnt calling me to help me.
These chairs had entertained a lot of teddy bears for tea. I would recommend them for your kids tea times too!
My son went to a fabulous little pre school. It was an opportunity for me to have a couple of hours break, while he was allowed to mix with other children of the same age and have a insight into the structure of a school setting. The pre school was only small as there were only a few children who attended. It was so bright and light and airy and not at all imposing for the children.
Situated in the corner were these little tikes rainbow chairs, they were positioned in a semi circle around a large chair which the teacher sat on. This was the story corner. And I have to say it looked delightful. The children thought it was really grown up to sit on these chairs. They felt much more engaged in the story telling activity.
The rainbow chairs are really chunky. They were not at all flimsy. They have four thick legs that offer safety and support. The actual seat area is quite wide and this coupled with the high back provides a great deal of comfort for the child. They are extremely sturdy and all the legs are even which stops any wobbling.
These chairs are not only excellent in structure, they also look so bright and attractive. They are vibrant and offer such a light and airy look to any room or nursery. Due to their fairly light nature, the children were able to move them around with ease. This was great as it boosted my son's confidence and helped promote his independence.
These chairs are easy to keep clean. They are hardwearing and longlasting. They were utilized so much within my sons pre school setting. Unyet they continued to look smart and not battered. A simple damp cloth will allow these chairs to keep clean and free from any stains.
For a nursery or pre school setting, I think these chairs are ideal. They offer comfort whilst also providing stimulation with thier bright and stunning colours. They are high and wide enough to reach a small table. They can be moved around with ease and they are very hardwearing.
My son loved these chairs. I think he loved them because he had seen the chairs his sister was sitting on in school and therefore he felt grown up. I feel by using these chairs it encouraged my son to keep still and not wander around. I like the fact that they are sturdy as it gave me peace of mind. I really do think these chairs are excellent and very apprpriate for a nursery setting. They look far nicer than the regimental grey metal chairs they used to have in my nursery. These create a fun and colourful environment which attracts the child and this is simply excellent.
I also love the fact that these are little tikes branded. I have nothing but respect and trust for this brand. I feel it offers exceptional value within it's products and allows parents to afford excellent quality furniture and toys which are designed and manufactured with children in mind.
I bought 4 of these chairs when I first started childminding, as something for the kids to sit on both indoor and out.
These chairs were ideal, my mum already had 2 at her house for when my 2 kids go to visit so I knew that they would suit perfectly.
The chairs are a perfect size for children. The age range is 2-6 years and the dimensions are L32 x W30 x H41cm. They are just the right height for young children to sit on without having to climb to reach the seat.
The chairs are made out of a very sturdy plastic and have a backrest which is slightly rounded for more comfort. The back rest isn't too high either so the child isn't bolt upright. The legs of the chairs are very thick, about 4 inches wide, so there is no way that they will snap or buckle under the weight of a larger child. Also, because they are so thick there is less chance of the chair wobbling or tipping over.
The chairs come in just 2 colours- red and yellow. They are very bright and look great in the garden! They are weatherproof and just need a wipe down with a wet cloth to clean them.
Unfortunately, these chairs aren't suitable for stcking to tidy away, but they aren't too big and I guess that if they were a fold down type of chair then they wouldn't be as sturdy.
These chairs cost £10 each but sometimes you can get them on BOGOF offers in Toys'r'us. Thats where I managed to get mine from!
They are great!
I bought two of these blue chairs from a car boot for £2 each. As far as I am concerned that was the biggest bargain of my week! I have done a bit of research and I understand that a lot of nursery use these chairs and I can understand why.
The chairs are incredibly sturdy. The legs on them are hugely thick. They are about 3 - 4 inches wide and circular, the actual seat of the chair is very thick too, I suppose this distribute weight really well and there's less chance of it tipping over. My kids may have managed top tip them a couple of times but only since they've become bigger and they are I have to say say, a bit on the daredevil side (in other words, lets see how far I can push the chair backwards until it goes over) kind of thing.
The edges of the chairs are rounded, so there isn't a danger of scraping the skin or anything, which is very handy for young fidgety children, i find.
I have used these chairs both inside and outside. After muddy handprints, sand and paint splodges everywhere, all it takes is a wipe down with hot water and washing up liquid, and some anti-bacterial cleaner depending on the level of your childs filthy hobbies!
My youngest is now 5, but he's quite long legged, he's just about to grow out of the chairs now. They've had 5 good years with my three kids, i don't know how many before that and no doubt there will be several more years use left in them, my cousin has already got first dibbs on them for her tribe now!
Well worth my £4 investment!
