I bought the melino deluxe activity boucy chair when i was pregnant with my daughter Aimee. I had been round nearly every shop in town looking for a bouncy chair and i had seen quite a few that i liked but none of them had the full package.


I had given up hope of finding the right one. Then i came across the melino deluxe activity cradle at my local branch of Toytown and it had everything! It played music, vibrated and bounced! And had a lovely toy arch which had three little teddies attached by velcro straps. But it was £55! There was no way i was going to pay that much!


I was at Babys Castle (my local stockist of mamas & papas products) to buy co-ordinating zeddy and rhubarb accessories for her bedroom and i found this bouncy chair. I had seen it before and it was too expensive but it was only £30 here! I couldnt beleive my luck! I bought it straight away!


DESCRIPTION OF THE CHAIR

When i got home i took it out the box and put it together straight away! The cream and beige velour fabric was lovely and soft and it had a detatchable newborn head support. Which along with the fabric covering of this chair can be machine washed at 40*. And beleive me you will need to wash it! The toy arch is detatchable from the chair and the toys on the toy arch are also detatchable which is useful. As you can take them off and attatch them to your pram and car seat when you are going out to keep your baby amused! This saves you buying an additional set of toys for your pram/car seat and with a new baby you need to save as much money as you can! There is also a secure padded saftey harness attatched to the chair to keep your baby safe and secure.


At the bottom of the chair there is a small battery powered unit. Which lets you control whether or not the chair vibrates/bounces and at what speed. It also lets you choose which melody if any is playing. You can chose between a heartbeat sound, lullabys and birds singing. My daughter loved the hearbeat sound. It made her fall asleep along with the vibrate function on!


WASHING THE FABRIC COVER

My daughter Aimee is nearly 11mnths old now and is too big for it but it lasted her right up till she was 9mnths from birth so i have certainly got my moneys worth out of it! I have washed the cover a number of times over the 9 mnths i used it and have not encountered any shrinkage or damage to the quality of the fabric.

You can now purchase this bouncy chair from most baby goods stockists at only £30-£35. And even though it is slightly more expensive than your average bouncy chair it is well worth the extra money for all the advantages that this chair has compared to any other one.


MY OPINION

I used this chair every day and i dont know what i would have done without it! As it ment that i could soothe her and still be able to get on with other things.


I highly recomend this chair to all parents/parents to be as i really would have been at a loss without it!
