When I was pregnant, I was on a really tight budget and was dismayed to find out how expensive cots were - all about £150 upwards and to make it worse the cheaper ones available didn't come with the mattress so you had to add at least £20-£25 on top of the asking price. I was starting to despair and wonder what to do. After a long fruitless search round Mothercare and Toys r us, I looked in the Argos catalogue and to my surprise found that they had a good range of cots under £100 that actually came with the mattress.
