Advantages: Sturdy for long life

Disadvantages: storage of side panels. panel not collapsable

We bought this bed back in 2002 for our daughter, We wanted a bed that was resonably priced and would last for a few good years. We found the Mothercare Arundel Cotbed fitted our needs.

My daughter is now 6 years old and the cotbed is still going strong and she will be saying goodbye to it this weekend (15/11/08) and hello to a new High Bed.

The cot bed however will still be around as in early 2009 we expecting our second child and if the bed has lasted 6 years I expect it will last another 6 years. we were glad we picked this cot bed back in 2002 as it has lasted well beyond our expectations. The bed is versatile (two positions) and converts easliy into a bed and its sturdy.

There are 2 things that I found a bit annoying, 1) the side does not come down so when the cot is in its lowest position you can feel your back pulling. I'm supprised Mothercare have not dealt with this in their latest version. 2) Storing the sides and footboard when converted to a bed is a slight problem id you lack space.

Overall, excellent value for money at the time and still going strong.

Summary: Very good bed for a low budget price
