The hood stays up well, shading Oliver during the day from sunlight while he is sleeping and he is comfortable enough in it to sleep all night through. This moses basket fits all of the normal pram/moses basket sheets, and fits on the Mothercare stands well. Oliver likes to be cuddled up in it and is happy so we are too. I would recommend this product but if you are buying second hand, I would advise getting a new mattress....more

We have this moses basket for our son and at thirteen weeks old he still has plenty of space in it. The basket is well made, strong and comes with a mattress, hood and cover. The material of the hood and cover has little cars printed onto it and is quite sweet. This product is no longer available from Mothercare but can be picked up on other online websites. I was lucky enough to have this moses basket given to me by a friend and it has come in very useful. Oliver is thirteen weeks, weighs just over 13 pounds (over 5 kilograms) and is 58 centimetres, he still has lots of space in this moses basket taking up just under two thirds of the length. I love this moses basket, after 2 girls when I found out I was having a boy I wanted to do the boy thing big time. A moses baskets are great for when your baby is tiny. I always thought a new born looked lost in a cots as they so tiny. It is ideal for if you want to get baby to sleep down stairs where you are just carry it upstairs when you go to bed. As I have two other little ones I found it very handy to be able to take the baby wherever I was so he wasn't messed about with by his two big sisters. I am not a fan of frills so this moses basket was perfect for me, as it has the padded material cover with out all the frills and lace. The material ...  Read the complete review

If you are wondering wheither or not a moses basket is a good idea I would strongly recommend this one. Our room is quite small but the basket fitted in and meant easy access to our son at night and meant we could keep an eye on him as you want to. The moses basket looked very comfortable and my son took to it easily although one thing i would highlight is that if you want a maxi cool mattress you have to buy this as an addition seperately. Remember also to buy fitted sheets with it too. It comes with a lovely wee cover but to be honest i didnt find a use for it as it was on the small side. The moses basket is super as it is quite light to move room to room which ...  Read the complete review
