Trying to save money baby shopping? Don't buy a stand. (Mothercare Moses Basket Pine Stand)

Advantages: Looks nice.

Disadvantages: I hardly used it.

I bought a moses basket with a stand as I thought my baby would spend a fair amount of time in it and I wanted him to be safe.

As it worked out, I hardly used it. He slept in his moses basket inside his cot which worked well as when the time came to move him to his cot he was already used to the environment.

During the day I carried the moses basket around the house and it was usually on the floor, in fact once he started wriggling I felt it safer to put him on the floor than up on a stand.

I had considered that the stand would be useful for keeping the baby up out of the way of our cat, but I soon realised a stand is no match for a curious cat! A cat net was a much better solution, they soon got bored of watching him anyway.

So in summary, there's nothing really wrong with the product, except in my opinion you don't really need it.

Summary: Nice to have, but not a necessity.
