Advantages: Cheap, unisex decoration, sturdy basket

Disadvantages: Rubbish mattress supplied with it

It's a matter of debate whether you need a moses basket or not we decided yes more because of the just in case mentality first time parents have. To counter that we bought this white basket from mothercare for £35. It is a good basket and does exactly what it says in the tin - baby sleeps in it.
In some ways buying this cheap model was a false economy because the mattress supplied with it made our baby very hot resulting in a sweaty head and back. Buying a more expensive mattress got rid of this problem. This may have been avoided by buying a more expensive basket - it is worth checking the mattress supplied.
The white inners are easy to remove and wash. And aren't too girly. It's a good option if you don't know the sex of your baby. The quilt supplied with it is pretty useless I didn't use it prefering a blue cellular blanket instead.
It doesn't come with a stand but does fit the mothercare stand.
We used this for 6 weeks until he started to wake himself up with a fright bashing the sides. I think they are a good investment for the single reason that it is nice to have them sleep near and stops the endless running up to the cot when you're still sore!

Summary: A good basic moses basket, good money for the short time you use it
