~*~*~ OBaby Beverley Cot Bed ~*~*~
~ What is it? ~
This is a lovely white wooden cot bed from the makers OBaby. It is a very generous size and has a nice appeasing look about it. The white colour makes it look crisp and clean.
~ Why did I buy it? ~
My youngest son has just turned two, so it may seem a strange purchase at this late stage but I had no other choice as he simply isn't yet ready for a bed and he managed to destroy his cot!
There was a lot of cot's to choose from but my grandfather decided to order this particular model. I gave him the money and simply asked him to order a cot bed from Argos, preferably in white and I was really pleased with his choice!
I didn't want to buy a simple cot as obviously he will soon be moving into a bed so a cot bed was the right choice for us as this will allow it to be used for a good few years yet.
It didn't come with a mattress so this was purchased separately.
~ The Beverley Cot Bed ~
The cot bed is a nice crisp white colour with a scalloped edge on the head and foot boards, there are also some nice wavey details in the wood too.
It is very roomy and measures in at -
Size L145, W78, H93cm.
It has three different height positions which is great for saving your back when baby is younger but as my son is two we have used it in the lowest setting or he would be a little escape artist!
It is very solid and sturdy.
To use as a cot bed you remove the sides and the top halves of the head and foot boards and it turns into a nice little bed, this is something we will be doing sometime after Christmas I expect.
As it is quite big, my son isn't squished in and he has plenty of room to move about and wriggle!
~ Price and Availability ~
I bought this from Argos where it is an online exclusive, it was delivered within a week and my hubby put it together in next to no time.
I paid in the region of £120 (ish) as it was on offer at the time but it's usual price is £144.99.
Looking online I can see that it is quite widely available, Asda, Tesco, Amazon stock it to name but a few and it retails from £120 upwards.
I think the price is fair for what it is as it will last you from birth until around 4 maybe 5 years.
~ Overall ~
We have had this for a few months now and I have been really impressed with it. It has fitted perfectly into my sons room as the white colour is very fresh and clean looking.
It does come in a wood finish too but I prefer the white and I think Argos only offer it in white.
My hubby put it together whilst I was out shopping and it was done within the hour I was out so I am guessing it was pretty easy! He did say it was quite straight forward anyway.
It is plenty roomy as a cot for my rather large 2 year old and he sleeps soundly in it every night so I am guessing it must be comfy for him.
To be quite frank I would have preferred to have not have had to buy another cot but this was a brilliant choice and I am pretty pleased I gave my grandfather free range! He made a great choice.
I would recommend this as it is a nice quality cot bed that will last for years to come.
It's also easy to wipe over should your little one make a mess, ahem, babygrow and nappy off one morning ... Not a pleasant sight! Glad I hadn't had a chance for even a cuppa that morning! TMI! Sorry.
Thanks for reading :o) x
