I own a 'Petit Star Pack'n'Play' Travel cot. We bought it when our son was about 6 months old, as it also doubles as a play pen. It's now over 2 years old and is doing strong, having been passed round friends and relatives. It seems to be bigger than some of the newer travel cots that are around these days. We purchased it from Toys R Us, for £50. I think this is excellent value as other simliar ones can be anything up to £80. It comes with a mattress (quite thin but has to be for transportability) and a fitted sheet. The mattress wraps around the travel cot when its folded down, then it all fits into a neat travel bag, which has a shoulder strap for easy carring. It is however quite bulky and fairly heavy. It is very easy to put up, it goes up in a matter of seconds, and is extremely sturdy. My only gripe (and this would be with every travel cot not just this one) is that when using it with quite a young baby, it does your back in as the cot is quite low down. However I do believe you can buy what is called a bassinet (I hope thats right) which raises it up a bit. All in all, very useful if you go away a lot and need a travel cot, but also useful as a playpen.
