I would recommend for any young Thomas fans.

We bought the Thomas Ready Room Cosy Chair for our 21 month old son. We paid £18 for the chair at Severn Valley Railway Thomas Day gift shop but the chair can be bought at a slightly cheaper £16 from Amazon or Smyths Toy Store.

Dimensions for the chair (as stated on Amazon) are H55 x W45 x D43cm. The chair comes packaged in a small box and requires you to inflate it before use. It's very easy to inflate and deflate again but we leave it inflated in my son's Thomas themed bedroom. The chair has a soft fabric cover, which is easily removable via a Velcro fastening at the back of the chair and is machine washable. The cover is blue, with a front profile image of Thomas, the base of the chair is red and represents Thomas's bumpers. The chair is in an arm chair style and the arms of the chair come up quite high and hold little kids in the chair well.

The chair is recommended as suitable from 18 months and my 21 month old son fits in the chair very well but still with space to grow. He really likes the chair and seems very comfortable sitting in it. He can easily and safely climb in and out of the chair, although if the decides to learn over the side it can tip over, but as it's so low to the ground he doesn't hurt himself when this happens.

I can't state any problems with the chair but as it's inflatable only time will tell how long it can survive a toddler! A puncture repair patch is included with the chair.

I would recommend for any young Thomas fans.

I am sorry I ever bought this.

I bought this chair for my oldest son when he was 2 1/2 years old. He absolutely loved it. It is not very big, about 18" high, but the lovely fleece cover and the way a child just sinks into it makes it very cosy. The cover can be removed for washing and this chair is absolutely perfect except for one thing.

This chair is inflatable. Now because it is well covered, one would thing it would not be very easy to puncture, which is probably true. Ours never punctured at any rate. Unfortunately, it is not punctures you have to worry about, but seams leaking. When we bought our first chair, my son absolutely adored it. The first one lasted for several months before a seam had began to leak air. As I had not saved the receipt, I bought a second chair, but this time carefully put the receipt away. Within a couple of months this one also began to leak. Now my son is a typical boy, and I will admit he flopped down on this rather roughly at times so we told him with chair number three to be extra careful and again it lasted a few months before leaking and being replaced again. By the time chair number four burst, the shop no longer had these in stock and we bought a different type of Thomas chair, but my son was terribly disappointed. It was still within the year of the purchase of chair number two, so the shop did refund. The woman told me they were not carrying them because they kept coming back to the store. My son has always been below average for weight so it is not like he was just to heavy, and he was especially careful with the last two chairs as he loved them so much.

My husband threw out the cover, which was a mistake as I could have re stuffed it with something, but over all I was terribly disappointed by this toy and would not buy another. Perhaps they have corrected the problem by now and made a sturdier chair. I would really have liked to try one for my youngest son, but as they are only available online and I think returns a few months later would be too difficult, I will not be buying another one.

The first chair did last much longer, and I think may have been a better make. As it was such a lovely chair while it lasted I am giving it 2 stars, but would advise against buying this unless you will be able to return it easily. This does however fall into my most hated category of toys. those that children love, but only disappoint them by not lasting.
