The nest as a thin padded removable base inside it for the little one to lie on, the hood is a UV protection hood and has a mosquito net attached to which you can pull over to stop fly's etc attacking your child, there are also three toys hanging from the hood for your child to play with.

When my baby was born I received loads of stuff from friends who already had children and one of the things I received was this summer baby nest. At first I didn't think I would use this item so I put away and forgot all about it until all of my family decided to have a day at the beach, it was incredibly hot and I was concerned about where I was going to put my baby so she wouldn't be in the sun, then I remembered that I had been given the summer baby nest.
