When my baby was born I received loads of stuff from friends who already had children and one of the things I received was this summer baby nest.

At first I didn't think I would use this item so I put away and forgot all about it until all of my family decided to have a day at the beach, it was incredibly hot and I was concerned about where I was going to put my baby so she wouldn't be in the sun, then I remembered that I had been given the summer baby nest.

Once at the beach I set about putting the nest up and to my surprise it was incredibly easy, all you do is unfold it and click four poles into position and put the hood up, 2 mins later job done.

The nest as a thin padded removable base inside it for the little one to lie on, the hood is a UV protection hood and has a mosquito net attached to which you can pull over to stop fly's etc attacking your child, there are also three toys hanging from the hood for your child to play with.

Once you are finished at the beach you unclick the four poles and the whole thing folds up into a nice small lightweight carry case held together with Velcro straps, it fitted in the basket under my pram easily or if you only have a small basket then the handles are long enough for you to put it on you shoulder.

This was the perfect item to take to the beach, its lightweight, easy to carry and easy to put up, it kept the sun of my baby and the toys kept her entertained. I now keep this nest in my car & take it everywhere with me, its not just ideal for the beach its also great if your at a bbq of going on a picnic or even just sitting in your own back garden.

The nest is a good size (80x50x52 cm), there is more than enough room for the baby to move around. Overall I would have to say that this has turned out to be one of the best things I have received and I use it almost on a daily basis.

After a bit of hunting on the net I found this item for sale with vertbaudet.co.uk for £35, although its on sale at the moment an is £28.
