My daughter is always having regular sleepovers at her aunties house and I found myself buying this for her not out of neccesity but because its such a cute idea. Its like a camping mat and bed for toddlers.
It only cost me 30 euro in Mothercare and I think this is a bargain because it can be used again and again.
Its really versatile because you can take it on holidays or even to the babysitters if your child likes to nap during the day it can be easily rolled out onto the sitting room floor for some quiet time
It comes flat and deflated in a handy carry bag including a pump. You just lay it down on the floow and pump for about ten minutes until its fully inflated. The sides are like the bumpers you see while bowling. They stop the child from rolling out onto the floor and great for toddles. There is also a headboard and a soft washable cover and its a real favourite of my daughter.
It is available in a wide range of designs including Thomas the Tank Engine and In the Night Garden. I choose the Winnie the Pooh design because my daughter is a big fan. Its really hard wearing and I cant see this thing being punctured to be honest.
I would recommend this to anyone who's children are regular visitors outside of th comfort of their own bed.
My daughter loved Winnie the Pooh when she was younger. I think it was something to do with the fact that she had been sleeping in her nursery from 3 months old that was decorated in a Winnie the Pooh theme. As she got older we wanted to move her from a cot into a bed. However we wanted to make the transition as smooth as possible. I had a friend who's child was quite upset about leaving behind his cot so I wanted to make this an adventure and as fun as possible for my daughter.
We saw this Winnie the pooh ready bed in Argos. I was immediately excited by it's appearance. It was such a fun and colourful Winnie the pooh design and I knew that not only would my daughter love this but it would also look beautiful in her bedroom.
I was also very pleased with the price tag. i paid around £20 for this ready bed. At first I was worried that it may not be particularly good quality for such a reasonable price. But I was very pleasantly suprised.
My daughter was thrilled when she saw this bed. She was so excited and wanted to use it straight away. It came all wrapped up and deflated. Included in the package was a foot pump. We tried to use this pump but seemed to be going no where fast. My hubby ended up blowing this bed up. It did take a bit of puff but it wasn't overly strenuous. It took about five minutes to inflate. If I loved this bed before, I certainly loved it once it was inflated. It was such a beautiful and comfortable looking bed. I was quite jealous that I couldn't use it to be honest.
What I loved regarding this bed, is that there are two inflatable sides which act in a way as a cotside. They are slightly raised from the actual bed and therefore have a great use in stopping little ones from rolling out. I found that this offered me a peace of mind. Also I liked the fact that this bed was so soft. It was very comfortable and had no sharp or hard edges that my little one could bang herself on in the night.
The soft cover is indeed nice and cosy. It is colourful and long enough to provide a great comfortable coverage. I also thought the material was ideal and not too heavy. However it seemed to provide warmth and comfort to a great degree.
I loved the fun element of this bed. It really did assit my child in getting used to sleeping in a bed. She thought it was so fun and the novelty element made her happy to try this new sleeping routine. She loved watching the bed being blown up and I feel this made her feel involved in the fun and adventure aspect of this bed. She was very proud and excited regarding this bed, which she proved by insisting all relatives came to take a look.
Another fantastic positive that came with this bed, was that she was much more happy and contented to spend the night in her grandparents house. Before this she was always unhappy to stay, which left me and my hubby miss out on a night off. But as soon as she had this bed she seemed alot happier to sleep out, because she had the familiarity of her own bed. This bed was fairly easy to transport.
I never had any problems with this bed leaking. It did occasionally need a topping up of air but it was always pretty firm and certainly not deflating. I must admit this bed did have a bit of a battering. It was occasionally jumped on, but in all fairness it withstood this and remained in good condition. She did also draw on the headboard with felt tip pen at one point but because of it's plastic material I was able to wipe this off.
I would say that this bed is excellent for a child who is either sleeping out or swapping from cot to bed. IT Is so practical and very easy to put up. I think this bed helped our experience no end as our daughter was more than happy to sleep in this bed and saw it more of an adventure than a chore.
I was actually given one of these off a relative for when my god daughter comes to stay. It inflates in minutes, very easy to put up. I think my aunty paid around £20 for this a couple of years ago, however a friend of mine is now looking for one and is having a little bit of difficulty in purchasing one off internet sites, as many sites are saying 'currently unavailable, we do not know when or if this item will be back in stock.' I am not sure of the reason for this I can only think maybe the style has changed?
My god daughter usually stays a couple of nights in a month and it's a good job really she doesn't stay any more. After a night of sleeping on this it does tend to deflate a little and we have to put a blanket over the bed as it isn't very warm.
On a good note she absolutely enjoys sleeping in the little Winnie the Pooh camp bed. It is also easy to deflate for storage compacting into its own small bag, the covers are quite easy to clean as you can take the cover off the deflated bed and pop them in the washing machine, I did have some difficulty putting the cover back on although I can struggle with a single quilt cover and quilt.
I hope this helps anyone looking to buy one.
My mother in law baught the Winnie the Pooh My First Ready Bed for my daughter she was 2 as they moved to wales so she had something to sleep on when we stayed. its a lovely item and as my daughter loves winnie the pooh anyway, she was happy to get in it. the bed is very soft and easy to blow up and use. it took us about 10 minutes to do. it doesnt takje up a lot of room when set up and would be great to use in the living room or a caravan, on the floor of a spare room etc. the cover that comes with the bed is lovely but not warm enough in the winter so a quilt or blankets will be needed. the only thing i found i didnt like with this bed is as my daughter has gotten older and bigger, if she rolls over, every now and then the whole bed rolls over with her. she has rolled off it a few times and nded up sleeping on the floor part way through the night. we now just make sure she sleeps next to the wall. its a great item but more suitable for smaller children i think.
My little girl turned two in May so we thought that this year, instead of sleeping in her travel cot when we go camping she should have her own grown up bed!
We chose a first ready bed because the sides inflate higher than the bed so she would not roll off. That worked for her - she hasn't rolled off - yet!! Also because it has the inflated head rest, she does not loose her pillow off the top of the bed. It does come with a washable light weight cover, but its not a very warm one and she needs extra clothing and bedding when camping, although she's fine in it when she's slept indoors. She is no where near the length of the bed yet and I think she'll be able to sleep in it for a few years yet which will make it a good buy.It comes with its own foot pump for convenient inflation, and it rolls up to be stored in its own bag. It is light weight and convenient and you can get them in different designs including In The Night Garden, Fifi and Thomas
We first bought one of these when my partner got overnight access for his daughter, we had her every weekend so needed something reasonably comfy but also compact as we only lived in a one bedroom flat.
this was exactly that, we paid £30 for this and it was well spent. It comes with a foot pump however it seemed to take ages with this so we went out and got another one which made the job easier.
Its an inflatable bed which has a headboard and also an inflatable head rst. It was great as one of her first beds as it also had blow up sides preventing her from rolling out. She was around 2 when we got this and she loved it, we would blow it up and place her at the side of our bed. It also came with a quilt attached so it was like a sleeping bag.
Another great thing is for when their potty training it is easily removed for washing.
I would recommend these for if your child has a friend over or even for grandparents house when they stay over.
Really comfy bed and my step daughter loved it.
I brought this bed for my daughter from argos last year in the sale.It was £20 instead of the full price of £30 it's ideal for camping or even when your child has a friend over for sleepovers. It's even ideal as your child out grows there cot as it's an ideal first bed with a supported head rest.It even comes with a foot pump which to be honest could be better as makes a noise when you pump up the bed.I went and brought an small pull handled footpumpwhich to me is a lot easier. It also deflates it and the covers are fleece which are nice and warm so my daughter says and needs no other blankets.they are washable so ideal for those little accidents. Also comes with it's own storage bag which when deflated can be rolled up small and can be stored away.so it's nice compact bag can be stored away.
we bought the winnie the pooh ready bed for just under £30 earlier in the year for a camping trip and also for when we travel up north to stay with relatives and it would be handy to have when younger children are staying.
we bought this one for my nearly two year old daughter, the age is from 2 i think up to about 4 and then they need to change to the next size up.
i think the ready beds are a brilliant idea, a blow up bed with higher sides (so the child doesnt fall or roll out) and even a little headboard and built in blanket - means you dont have to take any more bedding or bits!
Being fully portable it rolls goes down flat, rolls up and pops into a small travel bag with a carrying strap.
The ready bed also comes with its own small pump that also fits into the bag.
There are lots of different designs, i chose winnie the pooh because my daughter is a big fan but you can chose from dora, in the night garden, peppa pig and loads more.
you can take the covers off and wash them so easy to clean as they go through the washing machine!
the only thing is it does not zip up (on blanket) like on the older style ready beds and kind of gapes open.
ideal ready to use bed that can is also portable, practical, comfortable and most importantly FUN The ready bed is an ideal transition from travel cot to bed. It is a fully portable inflatable bed which has a soft cover on the top of it. Its ideal for those nights at nannies or at a friends house and is especially good for the holidays as it packs away into its own travel bag The bed also comes with its own pump so it only takes a moment to inflate it and your ready for bed Size Length 135cm, Width 71cm The bed has a soft machine washable cover The bed comes with soft integral bed head and side bolsters for extra comfort and safety.
