IBM Net.Commerce Start 3.2 Upgrade ... Web server and an IBM Payment server that supports the Secure Electronic Transaction (SET). The store-creation wizard, new in version 3, can be accessed from any Java-enabled Web browser and is used to build your electronic storefront from the ground up. Capabilities include adding elements of a catalog page (such as graphical elements) and physically structuring a page in terms of administration and store design (the store flow and layout - a very unique and helpful feature in the e-commerce software world). Financial accounting capabilities for taxes, discount information and shipping, among others, is also included. A simple setup involves walking through a wizard, and then Net.Commerce takes the information and creates a sample storefront that can be further refined. The catalogs created by Net.Commerce can be quite elaborate and rely on some creative Java and JavaScript applets.

It also includes three sample stores with predefined catalog templates, a shopping cart, order form, payment capabilities, and registration materials. They're designed for both business-to-consumer and business-to-business capabilities. A search engine helps users locate information quickly.
