However when doing my big wash and iron before baby was born, there was a very noticeable difference in the quality of the clothes, Adams were not as soft as some of the others and after only one wash were already more warped at the seams than other brands (including Matalan and supermarket own brands). As they do have the odd very nice and unusual item I have bought a couple more things from there as he got older but hav... more

I have bought a few items from Adams Baby range but do not intend to get any more. I was very pleased when I looked in there while pregnant as I knew I was having a boy but didn't want him to be wearing blue all the time and Adams did seem to have a better range than many other stores of gender neutral clothes that aren't cream, so I bought a couple of packs of sleepsuits. However when doing my big wash and iron before baby was born, there was a very noticeable difference in the quality of the clothes, Adams were not as soft as some of the others and after only one wash were already more warped at the seams than other brands (including Matalan and supermarket ...  Read the complete review

Well, by the time I'd had a baby & was ready to start shopping at Adams the chain had reported problems & many stores were set to close. My local branch had in fact only just re-opened after several years of being out of my town. It is still open, I think because it is so new compared to many of the older stores, and I have popped in several times over the past few months. The store itself is clean, bright, uncluttered and modern looking - perhaps this is since it's so new - I couldn't comment on other branches. I always head to the bottom of the store where the baby ranges are located. As usual there is a smaller range for boys than girls, but ...  Read the complete review

I was surprised to hear that Adams was closing. As a mother I used adams tons of times and was always impressed with the quality of their clothing. The range of stock they had was outstanding and they catered for all occasions. They provided brilliant clothing for weddings, parties and just general every day clothing Even though I was surprised, I can see maybe why it closed. They were always a bit more expensive. And with the current economic climate people were always going to opt for cheaper stores such as Asda and Tesco, even though the quality may have been compromised. In terms of my experience with Adams, I always had a good time in there. ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Perfect kids clothing (611 words)

Adams is a clothing store that specialises just in children's clothing. In 1933 Amy Adams decided to start a children's clothing business from her terraced home in Birmingham. This led into the opening of many stores and Adams has now become extremely popular and is one of the main leading children's wear chains. I never used to shop at Adam when my first daughter was little as I found the clothes to be a little overpriced and they seemed to have very little variety. I would rather shop at George and Next. I know next is a little expensive but I knew that I would have loads to choose from and I would get my moneys worth. It was my sister that ...  Read the complete review

What a great store,Such a shame ours closed down a month ago :(. But it had everything from birth to 7/8 years. The clothes were good quality too,and the prices very affordable. The store where I lived may have been small, but they always had a good amount in stock. They started to give out cards, which you could buy now and pay later.I am glad I didn't get this as 1,it would have cost me a fortune and 2, a month after giving them out, they closed down anyway.I found they did such cute baby shoes at really low prices. And woolies. They even had a play area for the children, which is unusual for a clothes store. I hope they plan to open another in ...  Read the complete review
