Good Quality at Low Prices (Aldi)

Advantages: Good food, less temptation to buy things you don't need

Disadvantages: You probably won't do your full shop there

I started shopping in Aldi around 2 years ago and would say that this in now the Supermarket for my main shop. I am lucky in that there is a Sainsbury's across the road so can get things there if they are not in Aldi.

Aldi's prices are cheap but maybe not compared to some supermarket branded products but in my opinion they are better quality.

Aldi maybe only stock one or two of a particular product but they seem to source the best quality while keeping the price lower.

I find that I can get around 80% of my shopping in Aldi and it is only the more specialist items that I can't get but for staples like rice, pasta, cold meat, dairy, breads and potatoes you can't go wrong and pay around 20% less in Aldi for these items.

Favourites from there are their speciality pizzas, burgers, cheeses, Bulgarian wine, fruit, cereal bars and special flakes.

The only product that I didn't like was their frozen chips - you can't beat homefries!

It is well worth tearing yourself away from Tesco and Asda to give it a try (you'll also cut the time you spend shopping - which is a bonus if you'd rather spend your Saturday doing something else!)

Summary: Give it a try - you'll be surprised
