Ann Harvey cater for a neglected portion of the population - those of us who are unlikely to ever be pop stars or supermodels. However, they are so busy catering for that portion, that like almost all high street women's clothes stores, they completely ignore the women who are both in 16+ sizes AND over 5'8" tall. They call 31" inside leg length "long". Their fitted skirts hang at a really strange length. The arms on their long-sleeved blouses and jumpers are somewhere between 3/4 and full length. This shop is the only store that offers something that really fits me. I am a petite at only 4' 11" & most stores that carry ranges aimed at the smaller woman classify a petite as 5' 2". That extra 3" makes so much difference. Dresses have waists that sit on my hips, longer lengths reach the floor, coats are totaly impossible. Anne Harvey sells dresses that fit where they should & don't make me look as if I am dressed in a sack. So okay BIG is BEAUTIFUL..And there are quite a lot of us fuller figured ladies around..Not that you would think so when browsing around our High St stores..Even M & S insist on filling racks with size 12's, leaving the 18 plus's with just the odd garment to choose from..
