Advantages: Shop from home, Low prices, Huge range

Disadvantages: None

Unless you have been living in a cave, you will know that Argos have recently launched a new catalogue called Additions. The Additions catalogue has over 700 pages of quality Ladies, Men's and Children's wear.

If that weren't enough you can also purchase Electrical goods, and a whole range of tasteful furnishing for the home.
The catalogue is divided into sections I'm going to work through each section and comment, on price, quality and style.

LADIES WEAR.
-------------

When you open the first page you receive a warm welcome from Lowri Turner, she offers advice throughout the section, on how to put together great looking styles. Her most useful piece of advice is how to dress up or down the denim jacket. She has some great tips on how to look glamorous in your trusty jacket; she shows you how to wear it casually, smart, elegant and sexy. This is great advice, and it has certainly inspired me to liven up my jacket.

Each type of clothing is easy to find thanks to key on the first page, which consists of leisure, fashion, swimwear, holiday, casual, fashion extra, classic, outerwear, lingerie and footwear.

The great thing about their products is that they cater for all budgets and tastes. If you want branded labels they are all here, brands include Kangol, Teddy Smith, Ben Sherman, Wrangler, Kickers Calvin Klein, Joe Bloggs, Levi and more.

You'd be quite surprised how reasonable their branded clothes are Kangol T-shirts are only £15, Ben Sherman shirts £20, Lee and Wrangler jeans start from only £22.50 and two Joe Bloggs T-shirts are only £17.
If you are not into designer makes, don't worry, there are some fantastic clothes that are still stylish, but at a much lower price. My all time favourite is a pair of Pure Sport trousers, which cost only £11, they are fashionable, casual and hard-wearing, and of course the kind of trousers that go with almo
st anything.

Other great bargains include two halter neck dresses for £12, a biker jacket for £13 and skating trousers are only £9. There are fantastic deals on holiday wear, such as three T-shirts for £9, three pairs of shorts for £13, two pairs of bootcut trousers for £12 and three vest tops for £9. Another bargain of mine was a real leather biker jacket for only £35, its fully lined and this is an essential in any girl's wardrobe.

There is also any extensive range of lingerie, and it even features the NEW Variable Cleavage Wonderbra, which adjusts your cleavage by means of a strings, just think all this for £23.50. A great bargain in this section is ten knickers for £8, and you can get them in any style, from thongs to full briefs.

Yet another bargain of mine was a pack of two pyjamas, the type with the shorts and T-shirt top, they cost £11, and they are really nice and comfortable, and wash well.
Have I told you about the shoes yet, no? Well they have an enormous selection, they have all the best makes like Red or Dead, Rocket Dog, Kickers, Pod, Dr Martens, CAT, Faith, and even Clarks.

They also have a brand called RAID, which has cheap affordable shoes that are bang upto date. I bought a pair of open toe mules for summer, and they were an absolute bargain at £15, they look cool and summary and they are a perfect fit, what more could you ask for?

So in summary the Woman's section has plenty of bargains and quality clothes at the lowest possible prices, come on you wouldn't get a pair of trousers in New Look for £11, would you, that were of the highest quality. Even the designer brands are much lower than you would pay on the high street.
Admit it, you're getting excited, aren't you? Don’t worry I'll tell you how to order later.

MEN'S AND LADIES SPORTWEAR.
-----------------------------

Wow this catalogue just gets better; they have a
superb range of sportswear for men and woman. Big names include Nike, HH, Reebok, Ellesse, Head, and Adidas. Once again, the prices are keen, with Reebok T-shirts starting from as low as £12. This section is the source of my biggest spend, and that was on a pair of Air Max running shoes, they were £89, but well worth every penny.

MEN'S WEAR.
------------

Men seem to be even fussier about fashion than us girls are, but don't worry, the men's section is packed full of great fashion ideas for the man in your life. If your man is into brand names; the likes of Timberland, Rockport, Teddy Smith, Ben Sherman, Fred Perry, Kickers Joe Bloggs and Diesel are all included.

As with the woman's section all the prices are as low as possible, as an example two Lee Cooper T-shirts are only £17, and jeans only £20. Three casual T-shirts are £7, and come in a range of colours. There should be something in here for every man, from suits to jackets. The shoe section is massive, and every style of shoe is here.

I bought my dad a pair of Timberland boots, for Christmas, which cost £89, which was cheaper than the high street shops. Quality is not compromised, as these boots are exactly the quality you would expect. So in other words they are not rejects or anything.

KIDSWEAR.
----------

The children's wear section caters for boy and girls, from birth up to 16 years old. In my opinion, this is the best section in the whole catalogue and this is the source of the real bargains.

For the new born baby there are a pack of seven bodysuits for £12, little girls dress sets for £10, little boys top and trousers for only £7, and a pack of two romper suits for £7. All the clothes I have purchased have been extremely hard wearing, and can handle a lot of washing.

For the one to four year olds, there are many cute little dresses and
little fleeces and body warmers for boys. For the teenager the clothes are fashionable and stylish, there is a wide range of sportswear, brand names, and plenty of essential bargains, such as dresses, and T-shirts. The shoes are really just adult's versions, in smaller sizes. However, there is plenty to choose from.

HOME FURNISHING.
-----------------

The furnishing sections are divided into two sections, downstairs and upstairs. The downstairs section sells goods such as sofas, kitchen and living room furniture, lighting, curtains, rugs, vinyl, and carpets.
Once again, the prices are low, and ready-made curtains start at a mere £9.99. This is a great section, I would especially check out the lighting section they have some very unusual forms of lighting, very contemporary.
The upstairs section sells bedroom furniture, beds, bedding, curtains, and towels.

ELECTRICAL.
------------

Believe it or not Argos Additions even sells a large range of large kitchen appliances that are not available in the ordinary catalogue. They have a large selection of Washing Machines, starting at just £189.99, and that’s for a well-known brand. There is a good selection of Tumble Dryers, Fridge Freezers, Fridge's, Deep Freezers, Gas and Electric Cookers and Microwaves.

Once again all prices are really low, and you'd have a job finding anywhere offering the same goods cheaper. As an added bonus most electrical items have free installation and free delivery, even your old appliance will be removed for you. This is great, because it is always a struggle to get rid of your old appliance, thankfully Argos take all the hassle out of buying new electrical items.

HOW TO SHOP.
--------------

After reading all my hype about Argos Additions, you are probably wondering how you go about ordering items fr
om the catalogue. There are four ways to order goods. The first way is to call the order line on 0845 306 0005, alternatively you can order via their web site at argos.co.uk. The third way is to visit any one of their stores, which are located in virtually every town in the United Kingdom, and last but certainly not least; you can post a completed order form.

HOW TO PAY.
-------------

There are lots of different ways to pay for your goods. You can pay over the telephone using most well known credit and debit cards, or with your Argos Card (See opinion on Argos Card for full details).
You can also pay in store using cash, gift vouchers, premier points, credit and debit cards or Argos card.
Lastly, you can pay by post using a cheque or debit/credit card number.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I'M NOT HAPPY WITH MY GOODS?
--------------------------------------------

You really don't have to worry about this because Argos offers a no quibble 16-day money back return. Therefore, if you ordered in store simply return the goods within 16 days and you will get all your money back. If you ordered over the telephone or Internet, all you have to do is telephone 0845 304 0008 and they will pick them up free of charge.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY GOODS?
-------------------------------------------

If you ordered in store, you're goods normally take three working days to get to the store, if you take this option, delivery will be absolutely free.
If you want your goods delivered to, your home delivery normally takes 48 hours. However, if you spend under £100 you will incur a £2.95 delivery charge.

CONCLUSION.
------------

In my opinion Argos Additions is the catalogue of the future, because it offers a new way of catalogue shopping, gone is the tradition way of only being able to order over the phone, now we can
benefit from flexible catalogue shopping from any location whether that be at home or on your local high street.

The standard of service is the best, the prices are low, the quality of products is excellent, and even if you're not happy, you can get a refund. Where else offers this service? I use additions a lot, and I have never had reason to complain, about products or the service, I have received.
I highly recommend Argos Additions.
